Around the world we reach for the play button... *g*

Is that a moon above the boat? Ah, that's Bodie in any case, looking rather wet and fab... until we cut in with the weird black and whiteness of his past...

Love how Doyle only has to glance at Bodie though and Bodie knows what he's to do - how many times have we seen that?! *g*

Aaaand - there's our Pros music cutting in, suggesting that it's all about to kick off... *g* And Doyle lurking so casually by the door to catch the baddie out...

...and oh, Bodie, that little break to your voice when you say "Keller"... *sighs*

Ah, and the lads in daylight, still all wetsuited up... nice arms on our Doyle, though I don't think it's the most flattering shape for him, bless 'im... *g* Bodie keeping quiet, for obvious reasons as he digs around in the cupboards and hull... Oh, there's a look between them though... just before Doyle dobs him in to Cowley... hmmmn!

My but Doyle's got good arms though... *g*

Hee - Cowley having a go at Doyle for whinging about his taxes - but you have to! It's part of being alive! *g*

Bodie talking to Cowley... oh my, Bodie at the prow of the boat, hand on knee... *g*

The op's beginning to get messy, says Cowley...

Okay, Bodie does suit a wetsuit... lovely and long and lean he looks... *vbg*

Cowley and Major Nairn... Hee - Nairn has Bodie's measure... *g* "I know all about that young man..." *vbg*

Heee - Doyle's looking forward to meeting Bodie's old mate - Bodie's always been "cagey" about his past... *g* On the bright side, this ep does make me want to read fic!

A rather gorgeous abandoned building - nice camerawork as ever...

Doyle completely ruining the ambience by kicking a can across the floor... Love him being all competent and checking their backs as they walk along as well...

Oh, I don't like Keller - mouthy sod! Bodie looking rather subdued at first, Doyle not at all impressed - but they're together against him...

Ah, Bodie not impressed either in the end, clearly. He's got his Doyle now, y'see... *g* Lads being very cooperative though... Oh, and Doyle not even bothering with the stairs as they hike through Keller's place! *g*

Love the dodgy meetings-over-motorway-bridges... no wonder I'm always suspicious when I see cars parked on them!

Ah, Murphy again... Doyle shows up... and Bodie's on his own, rugged up in a parka, shooting amidst the weepy greenery...

...and then it's Bodie and Keller... they don't look right in the car together!

Another gorgeous old farmhouse... *sighs*... Although... maybe not with the terrorist wandering around, upsetting our Bodie... Still, if he must walk away he should always walk away dressed in black and wearing wellies, right?

He didn't think his old mate could do such a thing? Not sure about the "dope" charges mind - hardly the biggest crime, even back then... though maybe they don't mean dope by "dope"...

And ooh - attack from the strange yellow van that looks like it'll topple over from the front... there's a familiar roar from one of the villains though... oh, and our Doyle in action on the back of the van... *vbg*

Ah, and the gullible real villain does his job very well... but our Doyle is after him, running and running and... swinging the gate open... *vbg*

Bodie shooting eggs from a... what is that? The two year old I used to nanny would know, he was ace on his farm machinery was our Billy... and drinking from the milk bottle... (Bodie, not Billy)... being very competent until Miss Terrorist spoils his aim... Liking Bodie in the wellies though... *vbg*

Hee - Doyle looking dapper and peeved in the buggy boo... *g* And sent off to do heroics - unscrambling his scrambler... *g* Love him being thoughtful in the backseat, and then getting to work... Quick job, mind!

Bodie and his eyelashes again... Love the innocent looking portacabin - how many of those are there around the country?!

Doyle back in the buggy-boo...he looks older when he's still, somehow...

Awww - Bodie's calling Doyle later... and not by Cowley's orders, cos Cowley didn't know... *hugs lads*

Love that they're speaking official-speak until they're impatient with each other... "4.5... 4.5... Come on Ray, where are you?!" Ray's been... taking the air... *vbg*

Oh, the lads together in the dark... *happy sigh*

Bodie looking very sinister, walking in the park! He just... doesn't look at all innocent-and-out-for-a-walk, does he?!

Trainers... ah, not our Doyle though... *g* Bodie being competent with a rifle... The gardener's in the way though... And joggers! Stoopid joggers! *vbg*

Oh, and Bodie makes the shot... Doyle reverses up, they "rescue" the guy who's been "assassinated", and Bodie's getting changed in the car again... white shirt and leather jacket... Bodie teasing Keller... stop teasing Keller! Lovely big smile on him though, you can't help adore him when he's being gleeful...

Except that he's looking puzzled now too... and now just looking unconscious... lovely roll into the rubbish bins he does though... Aw... and he's all dazed and confused, bless 'im, and holding his head and got a dizzy head, and ... just bless... "There's something bloody funny 'appening...send someone to get me, will you?" Cut to Doyle... Only Doyle's stuck with the camera this time... He should be picking up his Bodie!

Bodie gets a go in a helicopter mind, which looks much fun... *g* I wanna play with celihopters again! *g*

Oh, that gorgeous warehouse thingie with the glass roof... I love that location, don't blame them at all for going back and back to it... *g*

Doyle up the stairs two and three at a time again... oh, I remember moving the film on with me finger... *g* And my but there's a pulling out of the warehouse by the gold Capri! Much spectacular dust, but Doyle's into a wall and lets the other guy get past again... practice on the dodgems, our Ray... *g*

Oh, and here's Keller the bad guy... the very strong bad guy, the very cold, strong bad guy... Why on earth he doesn't tip the whole lot of petrol (?) over the papers, rather than leaving a little bit left in the bottle... Gas fire on... candle lit... he's a bad un, through and through...

Helicopter! Bodie all navigation-y... Keller all evil... fire all big... and terrorist girl all caught...

Gas explosion, Doyle reckons, and Cowley reckons it was the cash... oh I want that farmhouse... I'd put the lads in it, of course... *g* Gorgeous shots with the helicopter shadow following the car - it does look more sinister than seeing the thing itself! Though being chased by a helicopter in general... *g*

Bodie being a very competent straight-armed shot from the helicopter... and silly girl runing down the farm road... Bodie all cross with her... Though he gives her a chance to get away, in fact... "You're supposed to be his friend" she shouts - what is it about women shouting that at our Bodie?!

Oh, the bad bad guys are after Keller... shooting while he's still in the lift seems unlikely to do much good... That one's wearing Tony's jacket - with slightly less elan... *g* But more firepower...

Bodie arrives by helicopter... through the roof... *g* Too late for Keller, though our lad tries to save him first... he does a lovely slouch to reload does our Bodie... *g* And an adorable straight-legged lean... *vbg*

Some excellent ducking too, which is just as well... Not-Tony's got him trapped in the lift though... Keller doesn't seem to have nearly as much loyalty as our Bodie, he's off down the fire escape... Oh, the other baddie's got his sights on our Bodie in the lift... and...and... and... Keller gets him, is shot for his troubles... saves our lad again - and yet is still alive at the end! Goodness, how A-Team!

And a glimpse of our lads together just before it's all about Laurie Johnson again... *g*

It's... Well, it's okay is Kickback, but... it's sort of better as a fic prompt than it is as an ep, if you know what I mean... Because then we get to see our lads thinking about each other and responding to each other, which we don't see at all in this one on screen except for just a leeetle bit...

It's really only the wetsuits that stood out for me - seriously need to re-watch (and now I have all these handy guides *g*).
Thank you!

Kickback is a good fic prompt, like what *was* going on between Keller and Bodie back in the SAS. :) Bodie doesn't have much luck with country living. Just wish the Lads had been together more.

Thanks for the review and piccies. :)

Love Bodie in a helicopter and a wetsuit in this. And Dyole's got some pretty gorgeous forearm action going on there.::happy sigh::
And I know what you mean - kind of a negligible episode in some ways, but it does make you want to read fic.*g*

Ah, not one of my favourites either. The lads are apart most of the time and we got something in common here too - I can't stand Keller. There's something about the man that creeps me out but I can't put me finger on it. I actually like the scene with the lads in wetsuits best - Doyle's got the loveliest set of arms, doesn't he? *happy sigh*

Love that they're speaking official-speak until they're impatient with each other... "4.5... 4.5... Come on Ray, where are you?!"

I know. Their R/T sex talk at night is just lovely. The quietness of the night sorts of adds to the intimacy of the moment.

Yes, Bodie is adorable coming round all dazed and confused after Keller knocks him over the head. Played so well by Lew. Just one of those awww moments showing Bodie-the-tough-ex-soldier as a really overgrown kid, I keep rewatching this ep for (in addition to the opening scenes with the lads in wetsuits). I also love how adorable and young Bodie looks with the curly hair at the back of his head, for example as the camera pans over his head as he's about to go down the steps of the boat engine room... maybe his hair is even more curly than usual there because it got wet?
A great ep for delving deeper into Bodie's past and exploring his loyalties to old comrades etc. But I also wonder whether his undying loyalty to Keller despite evidence K. used him etc. isn't mainly due to the fact that he owes him because K. had taken a bullet for him? Is this part of an armed forces "code" somehow, independently of any personal feeling of loyalty or friendship between old comrades?

Unfortunately (contrary to what I said in a comment on your journal on Martin in Apparitions ) in this ep the supposed (?) Italian spoken by Benedek (?) to his mate is atrocious. The few Italian words there are pronounced wrongly (in an "English" way) but there are also odd Spanish words thrown into the mix *eyeroll*, like "sube" (imperative of verb "to go up (staircase)" where in Italian it would be "sali". Poor research by the scripwriter or script editor, but perhaps understandable if the production and filming were indeed affected by time constrants etc.
