I managed to get two out of three things on my list done today - one of those was going for a walk in the gorgeous, summer-like spring day (There were butterflies! There were aeroplanes playing chase across the sky, and doing loops! There were March hares in the field! Or maybe rabbits, but I think they were hares - they were big!) The one thing I didn't manage was to finish the next part of the Comic Relief Pros story - bum. But I've started... So I almost deserve ProsWatch today... *g* The penultimate one! Eep!

Ah Repton, a man in a white coat, and presumably an in-patient with an axe... eep! A hypodermic... it makes all those fics where one or the other lads are taken more solid, doesn't it... Oh, and over the wall and awaaay...

Theme! You know, I still adore hearing the Contender vids music even, before the dvd comes on... *g*

The Capri - hee, followed by a copper on a bike! Bodie doesn't pull over either - well, not for ages... And they're late - wonder why..? *g*

Heee - "I made it 65 - but I'm not vindictive so I'm going to call it 65...Flash Gordon..." *vbg*

And hee - the lads are of course with a big Doyle-grin on official business... *g*

So much so that they park in the park - and then run up the hill to meet Cowley...

Oh, and Doyle calls Bodie "my dear"! We know he means it... *vbg*

And he laughs when he wins the coin toss... Nice start, actually - our lads so live together at this point... *g*

Quinn comes across another old boxer - London's riddled with them...

Lads again, lovely in the sunshine, together in their Capri!

Doyle looking at Bodie as he speaks into the R/T...

Hee Bodie teases the boxer... the lads sounding a wee bit wooden here though, I've got to say... But again, they look at each other!

Ha - I love that they have swords and blades decorating the walls of Repton clinic!

Oh - Doyle's straight over the windowsill of the woodshed - love it when they do things so effortlessly like that... Bodie's comment's a bit odd though - "Not entirely painless"...

Daffodils! It must be spring there too! *vbg* That op must have done wonders for Cowley's leg... *vbg* Oh, stuff and stuff and Quinn and stuff... where's our lads?

Aha - there they are. Doyle striding across the grass, Bodie with Cowley. Quinn is very good... Quinn was operational with Cowley - he seems so much younger... Bodie passes Doyle the bullet to look at... I'm sorry, even when their fingers just brush it's... right, you know? *g*

And they touch just a little as they walk down, and there's Bodie watching Doyle the whole time he speaks on the R/T... trusting him... they're working ever so smoothly together in these eps, for all there's not the spark of the earlier seasons...

Bodie's very beautifully over that wall at the back - competent... And hee - Doyle tells the landlady to go to her room and stay there, Bodie tells her to put the kettle on, love... *g*

Oh, the fab scene where Doyle uses Bodie's shoulder as a brace to break in...

Eek, and they're under the wardrobe together...

...and away after Quinn in the Capri, Bodie's door not shut before he peels away, Doyle holding firmly to a handle!

They lose Quinn though, via the oldest trick in the book - a well-timed lorry...

Oh, and George Cowley was Morris... Morris after the pre-war car... Somehow the 1927 version does seem more Cowley than the 1956 version!

The lads walk close again...

The chase is on - oh, and Bodie grabs Doyle around the waist as he rushes up behind him to the tree! *happy sigh* We don't get enough touch-y lads in these later eps...

Quinn is a cool one, walking right through the lads with a grenade in his hand...

Heee - love Doyle swearing at Bodie about Morris... and Bodie just rolls his eyes, cos Doyle's just showing his temper again, and says Come on... *g*

Lads in the Capri being competent again... consigning Cowley to a safehouse, and loving that he won't like the sleeping arrangements...

...it is a rather rough-looking safehouse - but hee that he doesn't mind the campbed!

Doyle in a holster... always good... Teasing Bodie about the tea, and Bodie's wee grin cos he knows he's being teased... *g* And puzzled Doyle - always amusing... *g*

Eep - no reply roof B - and Doyle's straight up... Oh no, and now Bodie can't raise 4.5! But Doyle calls him back, and Bodie saves Morris, and...

Hee - Cowley's bugged Bodie often enough... *vbg*

Sure enough the lads track Cowley, and they walk together, brushing shoulders... Bodie's double-bugged Cowley! *vbg*

Aeroplane! *vbg*

Oh, and the Capri roaring up to the hangar - the lads just drive into the middle of the fire fight and take everyone out!

Oh, but Quinn... taking off one last time...

And there it is... At least the lads are together together, although I do miss the energy of the earlier eps...

I think I shall go and read myself to sleep with Larton after that... *g*

The plot didn't interest me much, but I loved Doyle's long curls and his mischievous smile--and Bodie double bugging Cowley!

Very nice pictures.

Oh I didn't mind the plot of this one - though I'd like to have seen more lads-working-it-out and less other characters, obviously! *g* But then I guess that's why we have fanfic... *g*

And yes - Doyle has got rather long curls doesn't he - and I love Bodie having been bugged often enough by Cowley... Always makes me think of - oh there's a fic isn't there, where Bodie's making the joke about Cowley having bugged him once too often, but he always gets it wrong and says buggered... is it O.Yardley, maybe? Makes me giggle, anyway! *g*

I always forget this is the one with Doyle's hand on Bodie's shoulder. Okay, why that should thrill us so...well, maybe that's the reason we are B/D fans.*g* Anyway, great photos (yes, I do love the touch-y bits, as you do *g*), and...yeah, not an episode I watch all that often but there are some nice bits between them.

There are nice bits between them, aren't there - and finally they're together in every scene again, yeay! *g* They're so much better together... hmmn, so much more dangerous to Cowley perhaps... now there's a thought... *g*

Thanks your thoughts and for all the lovely pics.

There is something calm and mellow about the lads in this ep. Although it's springtime (daffs)it looks autumnal. Or maybe that's the colour-coordinated brown and beige outfits.
As they ran around the army camp dodging grenades, all lean and fit, it struck me that it was good Pros finished when it did. I don't know how much longer Doyle could have carried off the jeans and trainers look, not to mention the athletic bullet-avoiding rolls.

I don't know how fit or unfit they really were at any point in the show, but I have to say, one thing that really strikes me as I watch the later eps, is how tired and drawn Ray looks sometimes. And there is enough gray in his hair to notice it (for example, in It's Only A Beautiful Picture).

MS does seem to have been touched with grey early, doesn't he - funny how it takes people differently. My aunt was snow white in her twenties, my mum - they're sisters - has barely any grey now she's in her seventies... MS and LC both seem very fit to me though - all that running, without breathing hard at the end of it! And the way they both leap over walls and windows - oh, and Doyle's leap at the door! Lovely stuff... *g*

I do think they both seem quite weary of it all in these last seasons though - LC as well as MS, although he doesn't show it physically quite as much. But the energy seems to have gone out of them somehow...

I thought that about the seasons too - autumn I thought, until I saw the daffs! *g*

I don't know how much longer Doyle could have carried off the jeans and trainers look, not to mention the athletic bullet-avoiding rolls.
Lol - you really are just a wee bit biased, aren't you! *g* You know he's only about 18 months older than LC! And judging by the roles he took on after Pros, I'd say quite a while longer... *g* Come to that someone in an Apparitions interview said that MS was still incredibly fit, and could do almost anything action-wise...

I do think they both come across as rather weary in this last season - maybe because it finally is the last, when they'd both been wanting to get out of it all for so long (LC too, according to various less-reported interviews). It's a bit like the energy went out of them after LC broke his ankle and they had that big gap between filming...

I knew I was too tired to be coherent when I commented last night. I just meant how good it is that *both* lads looked great right to the end of Pros. Speculating how long they would have gone on being so fit etc. is pointless since they didn't want to continue. Wistful sigh.

Have just been taking photos of daffs for my desktop and musing on how seasonal 'Quinn' was.

Oh I dunno - I rather like speculating about how fit they were... *vbg*

And actually they did both go on and do active-y fit things - in fact LC looked even more fit for WDW too... *g*

I was all excited on the way into work this morning, cos i actually saw the hawthorn out! Just a cluster of it by the motorway admittedly, but isn't it something like "Don't shed a clout until May be out"? I shall be getting out my Crocs any day now - whoohoo! *g*

I haven't watched this ep often and after the last watch I really wonder why.
They are most of the time together, looking good and I even enjoyed the plot.
Thank you for the nice sum-up and the piccies :)

I don't watch this very often either... It's not got quite the same energy of the earlier seasons, but at last the lads are working together again for the whole job! Hurrah! It's so much better when they are... I'm all curious about next week's ep now, because it's another one I don't watch very often. Will they be together all through it again? Much grist for writers' mills if they are! *g*

It is lads lite, isn't it? An episode of nice moments between them more than anything else. our lads so live together at this point... Absolutely! Thank you, a lovely recap as usual.

It's been lads lite for a while now, but this one is better than a lot of them actually, which surprised me! Not quite the zing that we know and adore, but... not bad. *g*

Lovely pics and commentary, ta muchly. And don't they look pretty in their toning outfits? They look very calm and confident in this ep, and what did you say? - um, competent. Oh yes, absolutely! That does it for me *g* That and the shoulder boost to break the door in... it takes very very little to make me happy *hg*

Hee - I never thought of them toning, but they are rather well-toned, aren't they! *g* All lovely and... earthy. *happy sigh*

I do like this episode a lot really. The lads both look absolutely gorgeous. Love Doyle's fluffy and Bodie's wavy hair. And they're so settled in together, aren't they? And finally an episode again where they're together almost all the time, yay! I do like Quinn too - pity he has to die like that but I guess it was the best way for him. Don't think they would have been able to "repair" him. And Morris, um Cowley does seem to prefer shooting people in the back. Not a very nice streak that.

It's not a bad little ep, is it? *g* So much better to see them together as well - much more natural! *g*

I felt badly for poor old Quinn as well, but as you say, probably for the best...

Cowley does rather shoot people in the back, doesn't he - though I suppose it's usually when they're running away from him... Shoots to kill... Hmmmn!

Thanks for the caps and episode run down. The lads look beautiful in this one. And they're so comfortable with each other. It's a joy to watch.

I think I'm one of the few people who prefer MS's hair short in Pros! Well, not season-one-short, but... more curly rather than less, as in season two... They are comfortable with each other though, aren't they... lovely! *g*

I don´t know why I actually like this episode as I usually don´t like season 5 at all, but aside from too much Quinn there´s quite a lot of the lads, some funny scenes and they both look great.

Thanks for your detailed review!

I was quite surprised to find so many nice moments in this one, and that the lads were back together again, cos I'm not usually keen on the last season eps either. I mean, it's still not season one, or two... or even early three, but... well, it's our lads together, so it's much better! *vbg*
