Does anyone know how to take underlining off links in an lj post? For just that post? It's driving me maaaaad!

Also - is anyone else having problems with google/mail? Or is it just me?!

OK, I think this might be the answer, but I won't swear to it -

Go to 'Customize Journal Style' then Display - Presentation - Additional Options...

There's an option there 'Show link underline' and you can opt for 'No', 'Yes' or 'Only on mouse over'.

Hope this is what you're looking for!

Hmmn - you know, that's the option that I've been looking for all day, cos I could have sworn that's what I did on my lj, but I couldn't see it in loiteringpalely, which of course is where I'm trying to do this... Will go and look again though - cheers! *vbg*

Ah, there's the rub...

loiteringpalely is a basic account, right? Just went back and looked with my safehouse hat on (which is also a basic account) and that option's not there. Looks like it's only for paid accounts...

Yeah, it is - so that makes sense. Bugger! I can't afford to pay for another one just now, otherwise I'd be tempted for simplicity!

Nope, darn it - it's still not there. It must be different for comms... I'm trying to format the list, and it looks so messy with all the underlining, you know? Way, way too busy... I've tried different font sizes, and that doesn't work, and I couldn't get different font colours for the links either, which would have helped. Waaaah!

Google docs is driving me mad, as usual, but no problems with the email.

Bum - I actually had to change mine to old style, cos it's just getting so stuck on things... And a couple of times when I've been posting to lj I've had a google broken link page come up, which is just weird... What's going onnn?!

But thank you! *vbg*

Strangely enough, my LJ has never underlined links, even way back years and years ago when it was a basic account. I suspect it might have something to do with the layout. Does the LJ in question run on S1 or S2 style?

It's S2 - but it's a basic account community, which is why the option to remove underlining nice and simply isn't there, like it is on my lj!

I've been all through the layout pages, and there's no option there, so it'd have to be some sort of over-ride-y code, and I don't know if there is one. It's just that the list I'm compiling looks so messy with all the underlining of links - gaaah!

Bum. Can't help you there then - I use S1. Good luck with finding a solution!

Oh, and as for your second point - Gmail's working fine for me. Of course, I've no idea if there's any difference between Gmail and Googlemail...

Thanks anyway!

Dunno about gmail and googlemail - I was originally led to believe that early adopters got the gmail accounts, and the rest of us plebs the less cool googlemail. Then someone said that either worked on the end of your email address. Then I tried it, and it didn't work. So... no idea. But really, what's in a name..? *g*
