Prompt me..?

It's all wind-rushed and gloriously spinning-tumbling-world outside today, and I was up and out early to take Little Car to the (yuck) Dealership garage, but then I walked through the ploughed fields and past whirling thistle-heads and bicycles-being-reclaimed-in-streams, and finally had coffee and read lovely lyrical fic, and now... I'm not sure what sort of a mood I'm in, but I might be in the mood to write something... something. But I'm not sure what, so...

Does anyone have a prompt for me? Something random and wonderful and... oh, something? There might be Pros from it... *g*

Tunnel of Love. Fairground or euphemism? You decide *bg*

Ah, thank you - just as I was beginning to give up hope and start to think in a number-y way instead... Let me see if I can get back to the other... *g*

Lads in the lush green English countryside....? With hydrangeas, fuchsias, early morning dew and slate walls, if you like, bg!!! On reflection, I seem to remember you sending Doyle careering most graphically down a slate covered mountain in a story once before and doing his shoulder and ankle in, (not to mention writing off one of her Maj's cars, you vandal), though so don't feel obliged to include that. At work or leisure, you choose. (This fangirl, at least, can never have too much hurt Doyle, of course, suitably comforted by Bodie!)
And what lyrical fic were you reading then? Surely not Larton, again? I have Two lovers at the top of my pile to read next but lyrical would be good.
Speaking of cars, is there any news on Little Car? She (and you) have been on my mind!

Ooh, what a lovely idea! I've started the Tunnel of Love one, but if I get a bit of a shift on, and manage some focus amongst everything else... And mmmn, I do know what you mean about hurt-Doyle, suitably comforted... *g*

Lyrical fic was actually a Torchwood fic - sorry... I know, I know... That's something I'm liking about TW stories though, the good ones often are very lyrical, and/or very thought-provoking and philosophical as well as everything else... This one was C12H220, and I loved the idea of Jack smelling like bright water and electricity, because yes! But you probably don't want to know that... *g*

I'd like some lyrical Prosfic too... I wonder if we can think of some between us... Maybe it could be my Pros-post for today, and other people will join in and rec some for us!

Little Car, according to Dealer Garage, may have issues with her Mixture regulation auto-adaptation function (her choke, presumably...), her Inlet manifold pressure sensor function or her mixture regulation function. Which is pretty much what Garage said, so if that's all the Official Dealership Diagnostic Computer can come up with for £40+ then I am definitely not impressed! But I'm hoping it's narrowed things down by way of not saying Catalytic Converter, for example... *g* And I'm really hoping that just means perhaps the points are bit grubby or summat like that... *g* Of course Dealer Garage also gave me a list of a billion other things that were wrong with little car, only two of which were reported by Garage, one of which was massively exaggerated (the rear light is working, they just need to adjust the earths) and one of which is almost certainly untrue because I just had the tracking done not long ago, and I've not noticed it pulling... So grrrrr Dealership Garage... Also, they impressed me by saying that they'd give Little Car a quick wash as part of the service, and then they didn't, so... just gaargh to them. I've booked Little Car into Garage for Friday, and Garage are loaning me a courtesy car so I can even still go to work, and hopefully all will be well... *crosses fingers, holds breath...*

Oh my gaaaawwwd! And yet I find it strangely compelling... *g* Right - if I can manage three fics, then I will give it a go! *vbg*

Belated Get Well wishes for Little Car - hope she's up and about again soon! Ours is definitely poorly and I'm scared to take it to the garage for fear of what it will turn out to cost. They don't lend people a replacement, either - sounds like you have a nicer garage than we do. (We used to go to a really nice bloke who was very good and didn't charge as much as some, but he was studying to change career and became a computer engineer instead and left the car business to someone else who was a bit of a rip-off merchant. So now there's only the dealership lot, who at least know what they're doing but they're expensive ... /whinge)

Looking forward to seeing what becomes of those prompts!

So behind in my replies - sorry!

I managed to get halfway through the first prompt and then stalled, but maybe after tomorrow morning, when I've calmed the rush again..? *g*
