It's Christmas, and I know this because I'm now in Devon, where the sky is blue... *g* It wasn't on the way over yesterday, mind - I made my traditional stop at Stonehenge, and it was raining and raining and raining and I had to wear my orange slicker. And the wind - was nearly bowled over, I was! But it was Stonehenge and it was fab, and, having joined English Heritage last year, and I do rather like being able to swan in whenever I like... *g*

Coming around the corner into the West Country was rather fab too - suddenly there was sun!

The roads were actually just fine too, I'd been all prepared for them to be crawling, but they were no worse than usual with all the bits where the dual carriageway narrows to single...

...and then there was [livejournal.com profile] foxcat74 and her mate D, and it was wine o'clock, and there was chat until... well, until we just all fell asleep, and I slept until 9 o clock this morning... Holiday! And I'm determined to spam you all with holiday posts too, so... *g*

Hope everyone else is having gorgeous days now that it's the weekend too... Christmas weekend!

Wine o'clock is what [livejournal.com profile] foxcat74 encouraged me with as I drove along... *g*

Thank you! And you must be having a fab Christmas right now!

I love that picture of Stonehenge all grey and windswept. I was watching a documentary about the site only a little while ago, it might have been last week - not "just" the stone circle, but the whole area. I think it was the National Geographic one. Anyway. You all have a great time, you hear :)

It was terribly grey and windswept at Stonehenge - when it's less grey and windswept I shall walk to the other monuments again, cos I haven't for years! *g*

It's Christmas, and I know this because I'm now in Devon, hee! and I've been looking forward to your holiday posts too.

gosh did it rain here yesterday morning! I thought we'd have flooding but it eased off just in time and like the West Country there was a glimmer of sun later.

Have fun and hugs to [livejournal.com profile] foxcat74 also

That's a gorgeous photo of Stonehenge, though, rain and all. We've had sun on and off, but it rained like crazy last night. Have a fabulous time! It sounds like you certainly will!

Ooh, I bet that rain had fallen earlier on Stonehenge... *g* I do forget how dry the east is, until I've popped over to visit the west! *g*

If the photos are as lovely as those, it won't be spamming!

It has been sunny in Manchester though it now appears to be almost dark although it is is only 3.30 - and the forecast rain has not happened.

I am all ready but this morning i managed to leave my credit card at the supermarket - and realised but by then husband was out - in my car, not his van - and had left his mobile phone in the diningroom where it was merrily answering me. Fortunately he came home (the friend he'd hoped to visit was out) and I rushed off and got my card. I need it tomorrow because we are all going to an olde worlde pub on the edge of the Peak District for Christmas Lunch (vegetarians well cateered for - daughter has checked and indeed has eaten there)and somehow or other I am going to have to pay....

Now the fairy lights are on and I have things stacked up on iPlayer waiting to be watched.

Have a wonderful time in Devon - and keep those photos coming!!

I love Stonehenge, both my visits to England included a stop there. I love the sense of "old" I get just standing there. Lovely photo.

Have a wonderful holiday.
