...through hail and sleet (turned out, that's what was in those clouds!), until finally the world was looking somewhat Glastonbury. Daisies and angels... *g*

I went and found my B&B, up by Chalice Hill...

How pretty is the bed!

And a rainshower! My favourite...!

But it was late by now, and I was hungry, so I didn't stop for a shower, but wandered out into town (the luxury of being able to walk into town! I remember that!) and to my favourite Cafe Galatea, where I was terribly boring and had my favourite glass of red wine, garlic bread, and then mezze platter thingie - and I'd totally forgotten that they do the best hummus! Oh, and cointreau ice cream for dessert... *g* I didn't take pictures, cos I've been intimidated by all the articles in the Grauniad recently about whether it's okay to be taking photos of your food when you're out... plus, if everyone's doing it... *g* But it was yummy. *g*

Wandered back through town...

(I love how pretty the bed is! *g)

...where I'm not doing any writing at all, except this - but I was able to get online, and even though the wireless signal is "poor" it's an incredible site faster than the connection I get at home even with strong wireless connection... they must have proper broadband, here!

In other news, I somehow left my book at home, and although I bought one that tickled me - 101 Things to Do With A Stone Circle in the Stonehenge bookshop, I'm wishing for fiction... and knowing that this is the advantage of an e-reader... and that the time is probably coming closer when I succumb. It still won't replace paper books for me, but it would be handy for days like this... Won't be a Kindle though - nasssty proprietry things - probably a happy friendly they're your books after all can-use-local-libraries-too Kobo... Does anyone have one of those? Like it?

And now I think, a last browse on lj before it's ...down Sheet Lane, To Blanket Fair

Have you all had a nice day? *g*

That IS a pretty bed! And Glastonbury township is so interesting. I love your photos of the church.
When I visited Glastonbury Tor it was in perfect sunshine; somehow it looks all the more mystical for the grey weather surrounding it in your pic. It makes it easy to believe the tales of it being Avalon.
I love my kindle to bits! And the "proprietry" aspect isn't too difficult to circumvent; programs like Calibre will convert just about any file type to .mobi.
