Waiting for the earthquake...

Its been one of those spooky nights, lots of just odd things happening, and I swear there's going to be an earthquake or summat... Something around the place felt odd, and when I went for a wander around it turned out my car alarm lights were going off - even though they'd not been set... Sorted that, nd realised there was a deep booming rumble from above. That was the weirdest looking jumbo I've seen for a long time. Either that or a UFO... Then a tiny red aeroplane light hoves into view and goes zooming off in the jet's path as it turns (but under it and away...) Then the cat comes in and is just weird, weird, weird! She never wants attention from me, but she did tonight - and she kept looking at something...

Okay, so the weather is cloudy and odd looking, so the jumbo diverted to a flight path over us and looked odd in the sky and the rumble set my broken car alarm off. There was a moth downstairs - cats get twitchy around moths. I'm just jumpy cos I've been watching Lost. Everything is normal and unspooky, right?

So tell me this - why won't lj let me post or comment and can't find my cookies?

Why am I having to post this from my phone? (*hugs phone*)

And why is Downrightnow down right now? What's going on with the world tonight?!

I'm gonna be over there, hiding under my duvet...

Everything looks okay... well, except that I still can't log into lj in Chrome... I'm fine over on Opera, but not on Chrome... I'm trying this sneaky way of trying to get in on Chrome via commenting, but I have a feeling it won't keep me signed in either...

Downrightnow has been hinky all day for me, as well as LJ playing weird games, so I'm not the best judge *g* It does feel broody and odd tonight - I was putting it down to neighbours lights being left on and casting odd shadows where normally I have complete darkness... but now you're spooking me too *g*

Well, the world looks okay this morning, sort of, except that I still can't get into lj - or at least not on Google Chrome. Here on Opera it's fine! *hugs Opera* So - hello! *g* Downrightnow is up and reporting no lj problems... but I haz them (in Chrome...)!

And oooh - your neighbours shadows remind me of the new Hound of the Baskervilles in Sherlock... *g*

We're in a cloud. It's entirely possible the rest of the world has been eaten by giant spiders and we wouldn't know. Just rolling white cloud.

Ooooh - very cool... *g* I can't see any giant spiders, but you never know. They could be invisible giant spiders...

I still can't get into lj on google chrome though - happily Opera is cooperating beautifully... (so hmmn, I know it's not my computer then, it's summat to do with my lj and Chrome... *wanders off thinking, to tinkly piano music*

I hope, the protection of the duvet has worked, and the strange vibes have dissipated by now!
We have calm, clear, warm weather, and LJ is behaving normally, but you'll never know what the evening will bring!

I'm here! Guess it was just a plane after all... *g* Or else it picked on someone else, you know... *g*

It's spring-ish here this morning, though cloudy, and there are birds and I'm off work (again) with a bad bad back - I might have decided to dope myself up and suffer through it, but that would also have involved Unpleasant Office and Aggressive Office Mate, and I don't think I'd be terribly productive when they were combined with pain and dope (well, codeine... *g*) Also, there's not much there today for me to be productive about, nothing that won't keep until tomorrow, so I think it'll be much more productive trying to beat the back thing a bit...

I still can't get into lj on google Chrome - I'm here on Opera right now, which is just fine....

I've been having trouble with LJ for a couple of weeks, mainly that I'm not getting the messages to my email. Or they're very late. I've taken to checking my inbox to find responses. And then one day the icon box wouldn't open. That was a pain.

For the rest, sounds awfully spooky to me!

Yesterday Gmail crashed Firefox twice, and for the last few days LJ has been logging me out in the middle of making comments so that I keep having to apologise for anonymous comments! This morning there were some of those obligatory Windows updates and then I couldn't even get the internet till Windows settled an internal argument with itself about my UK and Portuguese ISPs (which are obviously both 'available' on my laptop). So there is something in the airwaves... I don't have a cat, so can't comment on animal behaviour, and although we live under the final approach to Manchester airport I haven't noticed any odd behaviour by planes, either. Hope we're out from under the spooky cloud!!

LOL - I've had similar problems for the last couple of weeks, with random software suddenly going gently bonkers for no reason I can spot... the last few days my IE Google Toolbar has suddenly decided that LJ is in Spanish, and keeps trying to translate it for me... *weeps softly into gin*
