Actually I don't always write them out, but I'm getting back into that habit. I used to always scribble ideas on paper, and I think its a much more productive way of doing it. If I have to turn my computer on, open a document, etc etc., then I'm more likely to put it off until I've forgotten or lost the excitement of an idea. I'm also less likely to go back to the idea/keep writing, because again I have to turn on my laptop (or continue using it after I've been staring at the screen all day for work), find the file, etc etc... I'll have to type it all out eventually, but I think I'm more likely to have something to type out, this way!
