larton
Oh, Larton... I made myself not read it for a while, and isn't it just fabulous, again, and still? The lads are so themselves, even though it's very much an AU... I know not everyone agrees about that, and I didn't myself many many years and re-reads ago, but... yeah, they're so themselves, even without the guns and car chases (not counting the Jenkins boys) and all... *g* I hate that the story comes to an end - I'd like some more, please!

Anyone else done a re-read recently...?

By coincidence I got my copy out yesterday, so a re-read is imminent! *g*

I'm re-reading loads at the moment - I've just finished All These Years by Angelfish, which was the first Pros fic I read. And I still love it!

I'm incredibly lucky being a slow reader - even after all this time, there's still a mountain of fic I've never read. Yay!

I've just finished reading " saints and miracles" by jack Reuben Darcy and now I'm in the middle of reading " catch a fallen star" by rosemary which I think is the second or third time I've read this, I have to keep reading it in times when something else doesn't require my attention .

I read it years ago, so it's not exactly fresh in my memory, but I do remember really liking it. There are differences in the lads, yet, at the same time, it's still them.

I mentioned recently on your LJ that first time round reading Larton I was wondering what all the fuss was about - but over the next twelve months I found myself thinking of it fondly, to the point that I needed to re-read. And now I love it too.
[livejournal.com profile] ali15son mentioned "Catch a Fallen Star"; I couldn't stand that, seeing what Rosemary did to Doyle's character, but then a few years after the first read I was looking for some Ray-whumpage, and thought of that fic, and on the second read I quite liked it after all.
