Gosh, the penultimate day of noticing and posting things that I'm happy about each day! I feel like I should have made a special effort, but...

...mostly it was the weather here that made me happy. *g*

We had lovely fresh-cold rain and bluster to start with, and there was spots of sunshine and blue skies, and dramatic clouds, and gusts of wind... lovely! *g* Hope it was beautifully dramatic without being inconvenient where you are.

It's been a lazy Sunday in some ways - though I did get some useful things done. Three-month old expenses turned in at last. Postcards written that have sat around since my holiday in May - with stamps on them, cos I got that far with efficiency. Oh - I cleared my... what do I call it? Proper? Official? Domestic? Professional? Erm... Anyway, the email-under-my-real-name inbox so that there were no longer 100+ old emails just sitting around untidily! And I started on the other version, which consists of a pile of paper on my desk... (one of these days I'll get to my slantedlight email, and it'll have less than 300 emails in the inbox again... many waiting for palelyloitering, btw, not just me trying to frame replies and then being distracted or continuing the conversation elsewhere...) *g* Happy organising things! (Actually one of those things must also be palelyloitering - my website programme seems to have vanished from my laptop somehow... did I just not recognise the name and delete it one day, or...? I've still got the ftp programme... well, I needed to update to something easier to use...)

Trouble is, I paused to have dinner early and put on old Never Mind the Buzzcocks via my new tv, and it's distracted me ever since, just working my way through the Amstell seasons... But it's made me happy. *g*

And now it's barely 11pm and I'm sleepy! I may even wake up early tomorrow if I take heed and go to bed at a decent hour- that might be quite happy... *g*)

Hope you've been having a happy Sunday!

Almost done! I'm curious. Do you think that needing to be able to photograph the happy-making events or objects facilitated your choices, or limited them? Sometimes my happiest moments are triggered by smells or by hugs or by the voices of people I love, and I'm not sure how those could be captured in a photograph in any meaningful way. On the other hand, focusing on a class of events or objects that can be captured on film might allow you to find even more sources of joy. I hope you'll do a retrospective of the experience at some point, although heaven knows you're plenty busy enough right now without that added chore. But someday...

Yeah, my plan is to do a kind of analysis/retrospective of it today (unless my work deadlines go haywire, and I have just spent over 2 hours on Job 2 rather than Job 1, so...), cos it was an interesting exercise... And you ask good questions, and I shall hopefully include good answers in my post tonight! *g*

I love your storm piccies. It sounds like such a lovely lazy Sunday - I think you need one of those now and then, when you don't do anything major. It's amazing what gets done when you're not trying too hard. And wow for getting to Day 99 too. \o/

It turned out to be lazier than I'd planned, and yet still reasonably productive, so... yeah, that seemed to work! *g*

And I know - Day 99!! And no one's tracked me down and shot me! *g*

Was that rain from the tail-end of the hurricane that was supposed to hit the west coast yesterday? I adore dramatic weather, providing there's no damage done. It's exhilarating.

No wonder you got distracted, the Amstell years were the best. I'd go and see him if he ever toured here, for sure.

Yeah, Hurricane Bertha - the tail end was supposed to hit all of the UK yesterday, according to the forecasts I read, except perhaps for the very tippy northwest Scotland... *g* I love dramatic weather too - it's still a bit dramatic today, all wind and clouds and sunshine.

I got to see Amstell live a few years ago, and really enjoyed it - I'd go and see him again (but he sells out very quickly!)
