Woke up without a headache today, thank goodness, and was a good girl and finished my work, and then I was freeee to enjoy the afternoon!
80 SomersetSun
So I started my Once Upon a Time challenge and read, and I went to Wells to try and get my camera fixed (fail, but I finally found the screwdriver I needed in Specsavers), and I came home and had healthy Chinese veg for dinner and watched The Voice. I do like to see people do things well, and they just all seem to happy to be there, so yeay. Now all I have left to do is my coursework tomorrow and all will be good and up to date. I was going to go to either Devon or Wales to buy a couple of archery thingies tomorrow (an arm guard, a finger tab and possibly a quiver... *g*) but both archery shops are shut on Sunday (*headdesk*) so I shall have to see if I can wander somewhere else before I settle down to get on with my work. I'm kind of fancying the beach, and I think it's supposed to be nice...

I had a rather brill time scribbling notes late last night too, when I worked out the whole big missing thing from my Victorian story. It'd sort of been there lurking in the background, but I couldn't quite see it properly... and last night, there it was, yeay. It's one of the reasons I couldn't get on and write it, cos I knew there was this whole... thing missing... *g* But now, I think, I can, so hopefully there will be word counts again!

Oh, and an m/m book I enjoyed, by one of my favourite authors, is on sale over at Samhain - I've been trying to find my review of this and I can't, so I must've just read it and enjoyed it... I could have sworn I'd been talking about it with people though... Anyway, I'm waiting for it to come out in paperback now, in August, but its on sale as an e-book, and it's good - a bit of 1920s m/m intrigue... *g*

Hmmn... what else, while I'm rambling...? *g* It occurred to me this morning that this will be ten years since I started rambling was on lj (and writing Pros), which seems a bit mad. I've had the same design lj all that time too, and have always chickened out of changing my banner before, but maybe it's time... Trouble is, I'd still like my old banner incorporated into a new one, cos... the lads. *g* Which means I need to make my own, and it's not a strong point of mine... but I'd quite like something with my old lads banner and books and perhaps the sky... maybe I could do that! Before another ten years is up... *g* Well, we'll see.

Okay, I really am just rambling now. Hope you're having a nice weekend... Happy sunny Saturday! *g*

No headache sounds perfect, and getting things done, too!

Too bad about the archery shops. *gg*
But the BEACH!!! Oh yes, the beach, I'd go there constantly, if it wasn't for the four or five hour drive one way from our place...

I'm looking forward to your victorian story, great thing that you got the thing fixed.

So much better... *g* And I have had more Victorian story thoughts today, and I went to the beach, and I didn't have a headache (although I did fall over on rocks - ouch!) But it was nice, and I'm going to post and catch up with lj now, to finish nicely too... *g*

Such a beautiful photo of a dreamy, misty landscape, that's just lovely.

Good to wake up without a headache so you can enjoy your weekend properly. And sorting out the missing bit of your story must be a terrific feeling! You can get on with it now.

I hope your weekend was lovely, too.

It was such a pretty day yesterday - and Somerset is quite pretty at the best of times! It was pretty today as well - it wasn't until mid-afternoon that I got to go out in it again, but I finally did, so yeay. Now I'm going to catch up on lj to finish everything nicely!

Gorgeous photo! I love Glastonbury, being all misty and mystic in the background.

And yay for getting rid of the headache! It sounds more like a migraine to me, the way it lingers for a few days. Hideous. /o\

I hope you're enjoying today too - it's so pretty out there! Have fun!

Yeay, you spotted Glastonbury! I wasn't sure it would come out at all, cos it's still only my camera phone, but yeay - I love seeing the Tor pop into view as I go around corners!

I suspect really that the headaches are eye-strain that doesn't get better until I stop straining them, to be honest, but yes, either way - ouch...

I did enjoy today, thank you - and you too I hope (I was down your way, actually for a bit, listening to lovely waves shussh - and falling over on rocks, but that's another story... *headdesk*)! I'm going to catch up on lj for a nice end to it all now! Happy Sunday!

Gorgeous, gorgeous sun! I so much love photographs when the sun shines into the lens... In such cases my camera is always writing someting about, er, wiki says the right word is contre-jour.. And I always think that my camera surely don't get how great it is *g* The images look so unusual, like from some other world.

I worked out the whole big missing thing from my Victorian story
Hurray! I'm so glad you've worked out the thing! These kind of things are guileful, they may seem not so huge but in the same time they hamper the work like it is a chain of mountains! But once you figure them out... hello! It brings new impulses and... Well I feel I should perform some ritaul in order not to put the evil eye on the matter with all this talking. But my eye is very kind in this case! Kind and longing *g*

I could have sworn I'd been talking about it with people though...
Yes! Yes-yes-yes! *g* I spent two evenings browsing through your lj looking for it last week! After I finished 'Charm of Magpies' I looked the list of KJ Charles' works on Samhain and this one was there! And I remembered for sure I saw this cover on your lj and was going to read what you thought of it. And I looked first 'book read'-tag and then all the posts... And there was nothing. I was rather perplexed because I was completely sure there was a post about it in your lj and I tried again 'book read'... Good I read this post today because really.. I could keep looking *g*

I rather like it when the sun's shining directly into the lens too, it makes such interesting shine sometimes! Oh cool - contre-jour! I didn't know that until you looked it up (*g*) - thanks!

The images look so unusual, like from some other world.
Yes! My icon is a contre-jour photo that I took in Alaska on a very very cheap disposable digital camera (cos my SLR had broken - waah! I still miss my Pentax!) - somehow the intensity of the sun turned it black in the picture, even though everything else looks as you'd expect! It's just sitting there, floating... *g*

I like your kind eye - I need lots of kind eyes for this story! *g* I woke up early thinking a bit more about it too, and getting to know the lads there in my head... *g* But I just hope I can write it in a way that makes anyone's longing worth it!

And I remembered for sure I saw this cover on your lj
Thank you! I wonder why in the world I can't find it now... I have a list of books I read last year, but I got behind and didn't put a link to half a dozen books I read around the same time - I'm kicking myself now. Never be lazy! I'll keep looking too - we'll find it! *g*
