Okay, yesterday was good and I got everything on my list done except some writing, so I started today with that, and hurrah, it happened! *g* In other news, the sun is out, there are birds singing, and the weather is supposed to be coming onto summer-time for the rest of the week, which I'm very unusually looking forward to. I've felt so cooooooold for months now, which is very unlike me, I'm usually the first to leap into barefoot Crocs and short sleeves...
Okay - today I fancy poetry...
And good gods, turns out this is from a poet who wrote another wee poem that I liked very much and assumed was one of those old, well-established ones:
There is freedom waiting for you
On the breezes of the sky
And you ask "What if I fall?"
Oh but my darling, what if you fly?
It turns out it was one of those internet viral things, written not long ago at all, and the poet is 19 years old, from Queensland - Erin Hanson. Good for her! *g*
Today
Write!

Also, I just managed to close the window before I posted, and then accidentally restored the wrong draft, assuming that it would be this one that showed up, and it was all nearly a disaster, time-wise - thank heavens for Preview, and for having done that and left it open so that I still had my inane witterings after all... phew!

...and romance, and hope and a world filled with maybe... *g*

Date: Thursday, 4 June 2015 08:40 am (UTC)I'm usually the other way around, I hate the heat and much prefer the cold - I don't like that my body thermometer seems to have switched, it's weird! I grew up in houses designed for the summer, but I never thought of them like that, even when it was all frosty and around freezing outside. Dad would light the fire in the lounge, and we'd wear trousers and jumpers, and that was that! I hated the other way - there was nothing extra you could take off when it was 35C!
I read about Johnny Depp and his dogs - I really wish he hadn't done that, I hate it when people I want to like do selfish things - gargh! I do wish I had an office more like his though... *g*

Date: Wednesday, 10 June 2015 08:53 am (UTC)I really do like that poem. (And not jus because I can spy a fic in it: B&D running through a wood, in hot pursuit and helping each other keep up.) It's extremely visual - you can see what she says, in a different way than you can normally see literature. (Does that make sense?) Maybe she's speaking to a particular section of my brain, but she *is* really talented.
I'm glad you recovered the post.
Do you have a link for her?
