Yaaawn! Late night last night = late start this morning, but that's okay. The sky is blue, the light has a slight autumn-tinge to it, and today is going to be fab. *g*

Some more reading. I thought I'd scanned this one myself, and I'm sure I've posted it before and puzzled over the fact that there's a missing half-headline on pages that are sequential without an obvious page missing, but I can't find the mag on my shelf to double-check, so maybe I'm mis-remembering. Does anyone have it? Fab208 29th July 1978, according to my filename. Hmmn! Maybe it's in my Big Box of Pros Stuff...

But I must work today! Get on with it!

Oh, also? Yesterday's haircut may be the worst I have ever had. I knew I should have gone back to Cambs. for it! Now that it's not styled by the hairdresser and is doing it's now-I'm-curly thing, he bits that should be short are long, and the bits that I wanted out of my eyes are in my eyes, and just... gargh!

Thanks for sharing these old mags with us, they are a real treat! I hope you have more to come! *g* I can so relate to your pain regarding your hair. I *finally* found a great hairdressers after losing a previous one only for her to give up work. The one I went to after that absolutely massacred my hair to the extent that it's only just recovered! Hope yours grows out quick!!

There might be one or two (though most have been posted somewhere on the interwebs before - we need an index of articles!)

I've just called to make an appointment for her to fix it - honestly, it looked well enough when I left (doesn't it usually) but when it settled into it's normal thing it was almost the exact opposite of the two things I said I wanted - not to have to style/fuss/faff with it, but to be able to wash and go, and to be able to see without hair getting in my eyes - which was why I went to get a haircut in the first place! Oddly enough, I need more off rather than for it to grow quickly.... *g*

Nope, you're not misremembering! My copy of that mag is exactly the same! *g* It must have been a bad day at the Fab 208 office that day...

I dread the idea of having to change hairdressers. I've been going to my current one for at least ten years - when I walk in she says "The usual?" and I just nod... Which probably makes me extremely boring, but at least I know that I'm going to get a decent haircut. I've no idea how I would describe my hairstyle to somebody new!

Ah, thanks for that - I was sure I'd been through all this before! *g*

I'd had the same hairdresser almost since I got to Cambs., and I could trust her enough that I could say "please do something cool" and she'd do something brilliant that would grow out really well... Her last cut lasted me seven months, with just a few fringe-trims... I'm no good at either describing cuts or spotting cuts that would fit my face (I know what i like on beautiful skinny-faced models, but... *g*) but I can usually say what I need (something that doesn't make me look like a tiny head on a huge body, with a fringe that doesn't get in my eyes, and vaguely suits my face) and get something perfectly fine... *sighs* I'm sure this chapess is fab with hair for people who're happy to spend an hour styling it in the morning and then all day making sure it still looks like that, but... so not me. *g*

Yeah, they've been around before - I've posted them before myself, either to my own lj or The Safehouse, or somewhere like that... They've quite likely been posted on to somewhere else - it's funny, isn't it, watching things we scanned etc. creep their way towards a life of their own once we've posted them, and seeing them pop up everywhere else! And of course I save things that other people have scanned too, and share them on a bit further, and the world becomes lush with Pros! *vbg*

That article is brilliant and that photo of MS still seemingly in character while he's eating his lunch... wow! How lucky were those girls. Bummer about your hair cut, I've found a hair dresser who is a brilliant cutter, worth her weight in gold. If you find someone you trust its worth hanging onto them :)

It's a rather cool article, isn't it! *g*

I had a fab hairdresser for about six years, and then I rather stupidly moved to the other side of the country... I've actually been back to her since then, when I had to finish up a hospital appointment over there, but I couldn't justify the extra petrol this time.. maybe next time I will!

Duh about the haircut...hopefully she can fix it without extra costs for you and you "only" have the time missing, good luck!!
And great that you called them to say you need a redo!

What you did today:

Hee - I had a feeling that might be your Little Maus, somehow... *g*

It took me a while trying to work out why the second last dinosaur had a giant butterfly hat thing on her head... *g* And now it looks like the flamingos are grazing peacefully just a short distance away! *g*
