I did at least venture around the hack track today (I suddenly realised it had stopped raining) - and oh my! (They look better if you actually go the entry, btw!)

There's my path, in the first pic. But wait - is that some strange water-dragon creature, rising from the waterlogged depths...? Is that it's tracks, caught forever in the new mud of the fields...?

*g*

Apart from that though - stoopid day... How has it all gone so wrong again, so quickly?! I'm going to have to give up on working in the morning at all, and just resign myself to 11pm finishes, I suppose... *sighs*

And as for that writing I needed and wanted to do - I'm screw-ed number one, as they say (okay, I know someone says that - who says that?) But I am...

I'm sorry the new year isn't behaving itself!
I suspect, I'd have a hard time getting started early, too, unless forced to by a schedule (like school *g*).
And "darn!" on the writing!

The water theme photos are so interesting! What *is* that, in the second picture? I can't figure it out!

The new year improved today (or I did *g*) - getting out of the house helps no end! *g*

Definitely darn on the writing though, though I did manage to post two wee fics...

The second picture is Nessie on holiday my Wellington boot, walking along the hack track! *g* It's got a slightly funny heel/ankle to it, and the rubber is much softer than my old pair, so it looks extra spread out - and dragon-like when I saw it on the photo. I didn't recognise it myself, at first glance! *g*

I'm saying gumboot (Wellington?) in the second picture - but what are the tracks from? They look like sacred ibis, do you have them where you live?

Yes! It was my gumboot!

Sadly I've never seen sacred ibis around (and we don't actually have a river - although I suppose there are little ditches around the fields)... I rather suspect this is a pheasant track, we have lots of those!

Interesting photos, especially the middle one. When it isn't a dragon, what is it?

Sorry the rest of the day isn't going well. Maybe it'll get better as the day progresses.

When it isn't a dragon it disguises itself as my gumboot/Wellington boot... *g*

And thanks - yesterday (this day, the gumboot dragon day) didn't really improve, but today (the next day, tomorrow what is today when I reply) was much better... *g*

I love your pics!
Your boot looks scary like that!
And the tracks might be from a heron? We have loads of them on the fields. And saw some when we were around your place.

Maybe it really is better to start later, that way at least the expectations are met, no dissapintment any more.

I'm still owing you anpost about Nelli, but lj won't let me upload vids from my tablet. No excuses...
Holding my thumbs for your days to get better!

It does look quite scary, doesn't it - when I looked at the photo on my computer it took me a minute to work out what it was, even though I'd taken it! *g*

You saw heron when you were here? Really? Wow! I've never seen heron here! I shall have to ask Landlords if they have... I think this is probably a pheasant track, we do have lots of them...

Shall look forward to your post! No excuses! *g*

I couldn't stop looking at those tracks and found this.

So it depends on the size, if a pheasant or a heron walked your hack track.

Oh, I saw that page too! *g* I went googling when you asked about the heron, to see if it might be. Which according to that page it might, except that I really have never seen one around, but I've seen other tracks that look like those - and we have lots of pheasants... But I shall keep my eye out! *g*

For a split second, before I finished scrolling down to the bottom of the pic and the text below, I thought "modern sculpture of a horse!"

Very nice too *bg*

Ha - I've seen sculptures rather like that too - bit less mud swirling around, maybe... *g* Worked out better than I was expecting, I must say... *vbg*
