Today's trees are all seen from the hack-track - that's as far as I went today, into the outside world!

I actually took 45 photos of trees, and the ones I'm posting are the very first one I took, thinking well that'll do if I get nothing else, and then one from the middle of the set. I like the three of the first one, though, and the way they bend together, and then I quite like the sway of the second pic...

In other news, I am ve-ery sleepy just now, and looking forward to curling up with the last few pages of Island Innocents to fall asleep to... up early tomorrow. Well, to an alarm clock, anyway...

Ooh! Weather forecast for tonight is for rain/snow! Which I suspect means we'll get more rain, and I've just nipped out to check (you know, in case it's been beautifully magically falling whilst I wasn't paying attention inside - what was that ad, when they all came out of the pub and just stopped in the doorway, cos it'd been snowing while they were inside...? Like that, I was hoping for. Instead - clear skies, and a very definite parkiness in the air! My weather station is currently - ha! - under the weather and not working, at least not for outdoor temperatures, which are the interesting ones... I checked the batteries, and it's not them, so it must be the sensor and I'll have to take it down and stare at it in puzzlement for a minute... it briefly worked when I changed the batteries, so I'm hopeful that it just needs a bit of a shake... but I wish I new what the temperature was right now...

BD bystablessmilingAnd finally - I'm feeling quite Pros-y just at the moment... *g* Re-read Seven Nights in Bangkok by KM (her real name's on the fic, but I don't know if she's out in a fic-online kind of way, so I'm not saying it outloud here). I think it's only available on paper, but it's so good - just like an episode... which also means that there's no explicit slash, except insofar as there's slash in the eps, which as we all know there completely is... *g* And I'm still eyeing my pic-from-yesterday too, and thinking ye-es... Also I wrote a bit more of The Waters and the Wild the other day, which was nice to get back to. So close to being finished, but it's not quite...

Am I rambling? I'm rambling. Bedtime... *g*

We have Seven Nights in Bangkok in Proslib - initials would match. Is that the one, or is there a "days" as well?

Also One Night in Bangkok by LilyK
and
One Night In Bangcock by Sharon Fetter

I'm enjoying your tree photos!

Yes! Yes, that's the very one in ProsLib, on Disc 36! Hurrah that' it's Pros-archived with you so that people can read it! (And rats, sorry - typo in the title, I shall fix that! I know perfectly well that it's nights, not days...)

Do you know, out of interest, whether that KM wrote any other Pros stories? I don't think I've come across any...

And thanks - trees are rather lovely things, aren't they! *g*

I don't see anything else under that name.

I used to photograph winter trees at Golders Hill Park and Hampstead Heath with an ancient box Brownie - I think it gave better results than anything I've had since!

I miss my Pentax K1000 like nobody's business... and it's fine to have lots of extras to play with, but at the end of the day it's all about focus and composition and light... And I was just thinking this morning that I'd started yet another folder of photos on my laptop that I'd probably never see again. Great to be able to take hundreds to get one decent one, but I have photo albums from the old days that I still take out and look at...

Thanks for checking for KM - I've always liked Seven Nights in Bangkok alot, I wish she'd written more for us!

Oh, I see what you mean! Yes, just that abruptly-turning feel to the branches! *g*

I hope you might spot that... *g* It's out! Its in my head! *g*

I have a feeling that really three-trees are three-branches, but they look so separate, somehow... *g*

Cool trees, bonus lads. Nice post! I hope you get your snow, too.

Thank you! No snow here I'm afraid, though it's still pretty parky out - when I came back from Job 3-ing, the annexe was as cold as I've seen it in a while! I put the heating on sharpish... *g*

Have "borrowed" the sway-y trees for a desktop background, hope you don't mind *g*.
