7-7-7 Writing meme - any Pros WIPs out there?

Just back from a morning's cobwebs (volunteering *g*) and came across this meme as done by fiorenza_a, and thought - fun! Pros post!

1. Go to page 7 (or 77) of your current WIP.
2. Go to line 7
3. Copy down the next 7 lines – sentences or paragraphs – and post them as they’re written.
Tag seven other people.

I did think I might have to adapt it to paragraph 7, cos blimey - but actually I do have one that hits 7 pages (and beyond, and I even had it out the other day, so:

Waters and the Wild WIP - page 7, for 7 lines after line 7.
Bodie's eyes widened as he watched it encase Doyle's entire body, disappearing between his buttocks, somehow stretching over his balls and even his cock and...

Patricks caught him staring. "The Skin does not bond with mucous membranes, it rather dissolves on continuous contact, allowing the body to... carry out its normal functionality. As most sex simulators are designed to mimic the human body for best... um... utility, this will appear entirely normal.

"Gosh, thanks," Doyle muttered, flexing and twitching within the Skin. He held up the final flap of circuitry. "And this?"

Of course it turned out to be a slightly kinky sounding bit! *g* It's an AU crossover with Speilberg's Artificial Intelligence and I've been writing it for years... it's not even all that long (just under 32,000 words so far - which isn't 77 pages!)

I don't usually tag people, but maybe this time I will - anyone out there got a Pros WIP they could post 7-7-7? Maybe paragraph 7, line 7, the next 7 lines after that? Hmmn, who might have Pros WIPS...? *g* Maybe phantomas, heliophile_oxon, golden_bastet, msmoat, solosundance, jessebee, or merentha13? Or anyone else out there who fancies? *g* (Obviously making a post is entirely optional, and I always think tagging is a bit cheeky, but... wee bursts of Prosfic in my flist? )

Under Rug Swept

Bodie shifted up onto an elbow, dislodging Doyle's hand, and reached to sweep a thumb beneath his partner's eye, brushing away the wetness there. “Then …?”

“I'm happy, you cretin,” Doyle growled, and his surly, embarrassed tone was immediately reassuring. “I just never ….”

“Never what?” Bodie spread his hand across Doyle's chest, cataloguing the delightful feel of soft, springy hair catching at his fingers.

Doyle sniffed again and shrugged, or as much as he could while lying down.

I'm liking the kinky bit - I do have a number of Pros WIP, so just for you, from one I've nearly finished 7-7-7:

''Six pounds, I've been dodging the doctor.''

''Look mate, you're not going to get out of attending the check ups. Cowley's made it mandatory.''

Doyle looked morose ''I know. Wily Old Bastard's got a chart. Gave me a scotch and tore me off a strip when it was only four pounds, but I can't keep it on and train at the same time.''

Bodie got up, went to one of his cupboards, took something out and deposited it in front of Doyle ''Allow me to introduce you to my friend, Mr Mars Bar.''

Doyle looked up from studying the offering to protest ''You must be joking. I want to put on weight, not have a heart attack.''

''Yeah, well, when you start putting on weight you can elbow them, until then, after every meal, mate.''

''What about me teeth?''

I listed the totals and me most pressing projects on day twenty-nine of me November 30 Days thingy (if you're curious).

I have five of them sat as drafts on AO3 right now and am working on one of the not-on-AO3 ones as we speak.

This one is a sort of case fic and I've had quite bit of fun writing it.

I have loads of WIP over seven pages. I rotate them until they get finished. Some languish more than others. I must say other folks WIP are whetting me appetite...

You might like some of them, I'm not a very romantic person writer. Jessebee's sounds like a real saga and my mind is still boggling from yours!

Hmm. I do have a Pros WIP, since I started it for DIALJ and then didn't finish it in time. It's not 7 pages, but I'm sure it's more than 7 paragraphs. I think....

I don't think I'll tag anyone, but here's a 7-7-7 of something that's sitting on my hard drive ...

Bodie took his arm the last few meters to the transport point and keyed in what was clearly a priority request, as a two-person vehicle was delivered only minutes later. Doyle let exhaustion take him as Bodie input his details, only wondering slightly at his preference for controlling the vehicle himself rather than letting it run on automatic as most people did. Bodie clearly preferred higher speeds to those permitted by the standard automatic controls, and Doyle noted absently as he drifted off that he must have the necessary clearance to override them … yes, he thought, CI5 has all sorts of privileges …

And somewhere else on the hard drive:
But this time luck had not been on their side. This time they'd been a shade too overconfident, perhaps, counting on their ability to talk down or intimidate the three nondescript, incongruously white-coated figures they'd found after eventually tracking the purchase and supply of certain chemicals to an entirely unofficial but rather well-equipped laboratory. One of whom was currently holding a gun jammed hard against Ray's spine at chest-height, with trembling hands.

He willed Bodie to move, to take out the sole gunman and disable the other two. He'd be dead before he knew it, but at least Bodie could … but he knew Bodie wouldn't.
