366 Photos - 18/366 - (Flat white) clouds all day, but a moon at night...

Unbelievable! It's not 7pm and I've actually finished my work for the day! And not only that, but having been covered in flat white cloud all day, when I went out to find some rainwater for the orchid that might be flowering again, there was the moon! Lighting up the clouds - which are now patchy and more interesting... Hurrah! The second pic is the same moon with my camera set on "Drawing effect", for fun. I like the way it makes the clouds look like mountains. Just think, if an alien species came to Earth and looked up, and this was the way they saw the world - what a completely different place they'd see... *g*

Blimey, whatever will I do with myself now...?!

Well, you'd hope they'd hang around for a few hours or else they'd think it was ever so dark and drab here (which wouldn't be an accurate assessment at all.)

I like the first photo. It puts me in mind of the 'The Highwayman' by Alfred Noyse - "The moon was a ghostly galleon tossed upon cloudy seas..."

Oh, goodness, I think I am in love with that first one! Just lovely! Going to use that as wallpaper at some point... I love moon pictures *g* And YAY FOR BEING DONE WITH WORK!!!

Gosh, thank you! That makes me chuffed as a chuffed thing! *g* I am going to work on getting the moon to look like the moon though, with all its craters and things not too bright to be seen! I like moon pictures too.... *vbg*
