Yesterday's pic:
2016-05-16 Jflowers
This is in the far corner of the shed attached to my place, where I don't dare keep much cos the roof is hanging on a broken beam and I'm waiting for it to come down with the next gust of wind or unwary creature that jumps on top of it. Apparently it's good for growing pretty yellow flowers in the shape of a "J" though! *g*

And today's pic:
<2016-05-17 WashingRain
(about which I said bugger... *g*)

It's been two of those days - I'm of course trying to get half a day ahead of work so that I can leave early on my holiday tomorrow! So naturally I kept dropping things, it rained on my washing, the last two docs were the trickiest in the current assignment, and... well, all of that really... But I am gradually getting caught up on things I need/want to do before I leave. Emails are part of my catching up tomorrow, and so is lj! I should tonight, but I'm tired, and I don't want melty eyes tomorrow if I can help it...

Still thinking of [livejournal.com profile] minori_k too. I emailed lj yesterday, and heard back very quickly today to say that they'd put her lj into memorial status. A bit presumptuous of me, maybe, but I knew how to do it from [livejournal.com profile] taverymate's lj, and it seemed like a good thing to do. So that bit of her is there for us. And it's been so nice to see her pictures on lj today, in people's happy memories. Here's to many more...

That first picture is lovely. Beauty can shine in the most unpromising of places.
Well done for getting minori_k's journal put into memorial status. *hugs you*

I hope you have a lovely holiday! Please take LOTS of photos so we can holiday with you. :-)

It was a lovely surprise to see those flowers there, in the dark, damp corner! And thanks - *hugs back* *g*

I have started taking photos... *g*

I wish we knew how to do the same for her Tegaki Blog, but she posted a lot of the pictures there to AO3 - so hopefully we will have them there. I missed her drawing logs as she became too ill to do them - I was so hoping she'd recover and they'd be popping up again with all her enthusiasm.

Some voices are very loud when they're silent.

Yes - do take lots of photos. I'm with Loxleyprince on vicarious holidays!

I don't know if other blog forums do any kind of memorial status - kudos to lj that they do.

And the photos have begun! *g*

I love the yellow flowers against the brick - so pretty.

Thank you for sorting out minori_k's LJ - it's nice to know that part of her is safely with us.

And happy travelling! Wheeeee!

The yellow flowers were such a surprise - a lovely surprise!

And you're welcome - I like knowing she's still here with us a bit too...

Thank you so much for doing the LJ thing for Minori. At least we know that should be safe. There *must* be something similar for AO3 as well (she says, hopefully).

I think A03 is supposed to just last forever anyway - it's an archive, so the idea is that what's there stays there, unless an author takes it down... I like lj for the moments of Minori's voice as well as her pictures and so on though, so I'm glad lj does memorial status. *g*

I'm glad you got minori_k's journal sorted; was thinking about that today, and wondering how one went about it.

Those yellow flowers look so bright and cheerful against the brickwork. And the one day you really don't want wet washing, it had to go and rain.

Anyway. Have a great holiday and I look forward to lots of photos! And while you're passing through Cardiff, look out for John Barrowman. He's been tweeting that he was off to Cardiff for some filming, and of course now there's speculation around Captain Jack appearing in the Dr Who Christmas special... one never knows! I'd love to see Captain Jack again.

Oh, I'd love to see Captain Jack again too (just not in America, handing out immortality and all... grrr) - in the DW Christmas special would be fab! No sign of him yet, but my wanderings have been limited so far - I'll keep an eye out... *g*

Thank you! The flowers were a nice surprise after such a sad surprise the other night... life going on and being beautiful, even when we're sad...

Of course. Nature has a comforting effect on the sadness. Thank you x

The yellow flowers are wonderful. The corner looks very romantic with them. We hope it migh rain tonight or one of the next days or nights because it is to dry here.

And I wish you a nice holiday with wonderful weather. :-)

It really is a very unromantic corner - but the flowers do brighten it up... *g*

Hope you got some rain - we had a downpour again today, before more blue skies. Rain really is good, it's needed, isn't it - just the right amount of it in the right places!

Thank you - so far so good! *g*
