Still a day behind... Just went for a walk around the hack track yesterday - it's a river of cow parsley, the fields scattered with buttercups and dandelions, lovely! *g* It was also supposed to rain all day yesterday, but instead was the most gorgeous summer's day.

There are critters in three of these pics too, though I guess the horses aren't exactly wild countryside beasts. The one looking all who, me? actually had a mouthful of grass hanging down either side when I saw her, but I fumbled my lens cap and was too late!

Hee that looks like a minty gobstopper hanging off that flower! Or is that just me? :D

Wait... that's you hanging off the flower...? Your ballet is really something these days... *vbg*

You're here! *waves*

(Btw - it's your Game of Two Halves that I've been re-reading just lately - and thoroughly enjoying, of course. *vbg*)

Cool! I did enjoy writing that one, and roven's artwork for it is brilliant.

And haha my brain was reading Game of Thrones there for a sec...

Oh, you remind me of dilemma - to watch Game of Thrones S4 or not? I seem to remember thinking meh after S3 (and after S2, but I came back after that too). Much drama and etc. but same old male-pov stuff in the guts of it... to bother or not bother... maybe it'll get better... or not... erm... (*procrastinates going back to work by thinking about this*)

Horses! And wild critters, too. Looks like a lovely, little stroll.

Yes! It's not a bad little stroll around the place - and exactly a mile, which means I should do it more than once a day! *g*

They're a bit wild and definitely native and some of our snails are Roman - and quite safe from me - I have better uses for garlic :0)

I read about their Roman-ness when I visited Chedworth villa. A thousand gardeners are growling at the Romans... (*g*) These particular horses, on the other hand, are definitely not wild and probably not native, they're very much the domesticated variety (I live on a livery).

The snails in these parts are hooligans and eat almost everything voraciously - we could do with a hedgehog infestation but it's years since I've seen one round here.

They've probably got a bit of native in them...and to paraphrase Gerald the Gorilla, if not wild, maybe a tinsy bit miffed? (Sorry - any excuse!)

Horses! YAY!!! :-)
How wild they were quite possibly depended on whether or not you'd brought carrots with you...

One was wild enough to try and bite my shoulder when I gently reached out to stroke him - but I don't think it was this one. *g*

Oh - purty! We were supposed to have rain too, and had the most gorgeous day - and likewise today. The forecast is mental... and the countryside is glorious! I love the 'Who? Me?' look on the horse's face. Too innocent by far.

Hurrah for inaccurate weather forecasts (at least when they go this way...!) Glorious is the perfect word for the countryside at the moment - it so is! *g*

It definitely looks like spring now, in your photos!
They are so beautiful. You should make calendars or write travel books, incorporating the pictures.

And I think I can still see a couple of strands of grass hanging out of the horse's mouth. :)

Oh what lovely pics!
Love them all, especially the snail... Maybe I'm weird but I've always loved snails, even if they can be a bit of a nuisance as they happily munch on everything that comes their way... 😊

I love the little snail! But the pictures are all wonderful. I love flowers and it sounds as if you had a wonderful day.
