Friday
Nipped over the hills for a couple of chores on Friday (don't even ask me about Vodafone - complete waste of my day!) and managed to stop for some pictures. It occurred to me that I'd stop and take photos of this sort of spot when I was tourist-ing!

Saturday
And today I had chores in Bath, so of course I took my camera. There are streets and angles where you could almost be pre-computer, pre-car, pre-twentieth century, eveen!

My big excitement (and potentially disaster) though is that I decided to test those lactose enzyme supplement things I've heard about. I've always thought they were for lactose-intolerances-that-give-people-funny-tummies, but there's an inkling of a chance that it might do its thing and mediate between an intolerance and headaches too, so... I had mature cheese on gluten-free toast (gluten-free so as not to cloud the issue!) and then some chocolate! Mmmn... Cross fingers I'm not whinging about having a banging headache tomorrow, eh..?

In other news - ten sleeps until Germany! Wheeee! *g*

Fingers Crossed...

For headache free :0)

If you don't count changing trains, I've only been to Bath once. We had a lovely meal and spotted an actor we all agreed was famous but couldn't name, However, I've been threatened with the Christmas market they now apparently do, time and trains permitting - so there may be a second visit.

Can't sleep at the moment, my ability to sleep is never good, but recently it's been atrocious. Bit unfortunate, since I have an interview Monday. Not expecting to get the job, but hoping the exercise will prove beneficial on a number of levels.

I'm casting my net upon the waters because the future is in flux and my direction uncertain. I wonder where I'll be this time next year? Well, I'm fairly certain where, my youth seems to have killed any wanderlust, but what I'll be doing is anyone's guess. And I'm feeling fairly fine about that - even when I've had some sleep and am sober!

287 is scarily near Christmas!

It's even nearer Christmas than that, cos I mucked up my days - yesterday was day 289!

And yeay for headache free, which today was - phew!

I'm hmmn-ing dubiously about the Bath Christmas market though - I accidentally found myself there one Saturday last year, and it was sooooo jam-packed that I didn't even bother trying to look at the stalls, cos it was barely possible. As soon as someone stopped somewhere, the entire mulch of people did too, and it was virtually impossible to see anything you might actually be interested in. Maybe if you go on a weekday, not a Saturday. When I got the bus back to the park-and-ride that I use, we passed dozens of coaches parked on the road - which explained it all!

Good luck with your interview tomorrow - sometimes the ones you don't expect to get are the ones that turn out best, so - well, crossing fingers for you, and holding thumbs too! I sympathise too - my future is constantly in flux, and my direction has not been certain for many many years now. I keep thinking one day... though I'm hoping to play with my wanderlust a bit more! Here's to people being in good place next year, though!

Holding my thumbs for a headache free month!

You live in a very photogenic area! :)

Too bad about the Vodafone battles! I switched to them in Germany, since O2 didn't have good reception at my parents', and had a good experience with them. I also really liked, that you could use the same service in other EU countries, without signing on for anything else.
But I didn't need to contact their customer service, and other people told me, Vodafone was awful.

How is your head today? I've been sending good thoughts, and hope you will find out that you can eat dairy and gluten again!

It is quite pretty around here, I must say... *g*

I've been happy with Vodafone ever since I had a mobile phone - about nine years, now! But they've really annoyed me lately, sneaking an extra charge onto my bill, and not properly answering my questions about it, and sneaking me to upgrades instead of complaints, and then not doing what they said they would when I agree to a new contract! It's one thing to try and brush aside a complaint by offering you another deal, but it's taking the mickey to then not fulfil that deal - and make you run around to find out what's going on! Well, we'll see...

And my head has been good today - yeay! Well, fine, anyway. *g* I'll have to experiment with gluten next, I guess, but I can at least have wee bits of dairy if I take the enzyme-thingies. When I have a spare weekend at home, I'll experiment with dairy without the enzymes too. Maybe it was only a weird temporary thing... *crosses fingers*

Pretty skies! How come you get so many pretty skies? You're really lucky. Ooooh, and pretty tree in that third picture. Very nice indeed.

I'm almost afraid to ask, but how did the lactose enzyme supplement experiment go? Or are you very, very grateful for those curtains you hemmed last week? Do tell.

Yay! for it not being long until your holiday! It's always nice to have things to look forward to. :-)

There are rather pretty skies around here - but then I end up saying that about most places in the UK. Maybe it's summat to do with the Gulf Stream thingie. Maybe I just look up alot, and there they are. *g*

And yeay - no headache today! I felt a bit snuffly this morning, but it didn't come to anything, so - maybe that's it! *g* Also, I hemmed the other two curtains, which has nothing to do with headaches, but which I was quite chuffed about. *g*

Nine sleeps until holidays! Well, not quite until the holiday, cos I won't finish work until the second week, but it'll be nice working with different views, and nice company - and it might make me get on with it faster too... *vbg* Yeay things to look forward to!

Wonderful photos!
And I'm pleased you had no headache consequences today!
Bath is such a gorgeous town. And the thermal spa is the icing on the cake (incl. the outdoor pool on the top floor, overlooking the city centre)...
