And thank goodness that's over - the week, the whole week - oh, it's the weekend! And in fact it's a long weekend, since I've taken Monday off - hooray and hurrah! No snow down here (*sighs*), though it's pretty chilly.

The Black Forest is certainly pine-worthy (also actually very pine-y.)
There's something very tactile about wood, don't you find? When I went to Oz on business a while back, all my souvenirs were made of wood. Well, apart from the kangaroo that played "Waltzing Matilda" for my Mum...

The Black Forest was lovely, and that's where wee tree-carving really was from. *g* I love wood - it is beautifully tactile and warm and real.
