366 Photos - 324 - Beachy (with added Pros)

The forecast was for rain and rain and rain - except for maybe half a dozen hours today, and so I decided I'd better take myself to the beach or else I'd not get there for aaages. So I did. And it was less blowy than I might have liked, but it was lovely and grey and fresh and the rain mostly held off until I got back to the car. Half an hour later. But I walked on the beach, just like I wanted to.

And then I may have gone to Hobbycraft for supplies, and to the supermarket, and come home and had pizza and watched two eps of Pros - You'll be Alright and Kickback, since you ask... *g* I don't often watch series four, but last week I watched It's Only a Beautiful Picture (though I don't really count that as series four, cos the lads are together *g*) and Blood Sports (still a few nice moments - Bodie picking Doyle up in the restaurant, for one, and canon going-home-with-takeaway-to-watch-the-match-on-telly!) And then Hijack, which again I don't dislike, but... the lads don't seem as together. And then I had to change discs anyway, so why not the next one...? *g* You know, I'm liking the 366 project, and posting every day, but I wonder if I'd be posting more Pros etc. if I wasn't doing that... 324/366 so far - 42 more days to go! And what then..?!
Tomorrow I was going to go to a quilting-for-beginners session at a local-ish quilting supplies shop, but it's raining alot now, and it's not supposed to stop much, and I'm quite fancying the idea of staying home and messing around with my sewing machine and things on my own... We'll see!
How's your weekend coming along? *g*

Date: Sunday, 20 November 2016 11:34 pm (UTC)The Galaxy is a long way, but our lads will be there waiting for you - you definitely need to watch Pros again! Well, everyone does... *vbg*
Yeay your sewing (and humph lj being glitchy - there seems to be something going on again, cos a few people've had things happen. Come to think of it, I did the other day, and put it down to their new "like" feature (which I still can't see,,,)

Date: Sunday, 20 November 2016 10:36 am (UTC)It's very soggy here after a wild and windy night - lots of wet leaves and drizzle in the air. I quite like it. Currently sitting in a coffee shop with my book, my lappie and the papers. I may be here some time.

Date: Sunday, 20 November 2016 11:39 pm (UTC)The ability to just go and sit in a coffee shop with my book my lappie and the papers is largely missing in my life - at least without a long drive to get there first too. I knew when I was six and we had a class debate about whether it was better to live in the city or the country that the correct answer was (in many ways) the city! I admit to having finally caved to the country though, leaving my best friend to be the lone final stand for the city - but only cos the bell had gone, and it was playtime, and I could tell that Mr F. wasn't going to let us go until he'd won!
Wet leaves and drizzle in the air - lovely! *g*

Date: Sunday, 20 November 2016 10:42 am (UTC)I hope the weather improves so you can still attend the quilting session.
Yay! from Pros-y things! I've been re-watching LC in Jack the Ripper. Not Pros, admittedly, but Mr C is lovely as Sgt Godley. :-)
I've also been busy with Paint Shop Pro doing something Christmas-elf-y that is canon-era and not AU. *Iz well-content old dog with new trick*
Ooooh, and I've got the Poldark Season 2 DVDs now, so I'm feeling the need to revisit Poldark-era!AU Bodie and Doyle now, but I also want to read more Larton.
So much lovely stuff to do, so little time! *vbg*

Date: Monday, 21 November 2016 06:47 pm (UTC)Also - *swoons*! Is there anything I can say that will convince you to post your artwork to your own livejournal (or a comm!) as well as to A03, so that we have your lovely Pros-iness appearing in our flists to comment to? Cos I know there will be other people on my Pros flist who've not seen those pics, and everyone should be seeing your AU lads pics! Windswept Doyle... I'll just be off over here swooning a bit more... *g*

I tend to keep a very quiet LJ, but I will try and remember to post pics in one of the Pros cons, not just on AO3.

Date: Sunday, 20 November 2016 12:52 pm (UTC)The beach looks lovely, though a bit stormy. The fourth picture, especially, looks ominous.

Date: Sunday, 20 November 2016 11:43 pm (UTC)The beach was both lovely and ominous - the rain was really moving in, though that gorgeous dark line on the horizon had been there for a while - I caught a glimpse of it as I drove closer. So nice to be at the beach, though - I wish I lived closer!
