Well, it wasn't raining this morning, but I didn't go to the quilting shop thing anyway, cos I really did just feel like having a go myself before I jump into something like that. And... I expect I would have ended up with far more impressive things if I'd gone, but on the other hand, I can learn from the way I worked stuff out too, and what still went wrong. *g* So I made a pot holder thingie (thinking that'd be easy..!) and a coaster thing (although I was actually experimenting with Christmas decorations. Hush, I'm learning... *g*

I also came across this in my old needlework box weeks ago, but only properly looked at it today - I rather think it was my mum's, bought before she went to Australia even. Look at the price! And that really isn't something-nine with the other number worn away either. *g*
9p! Nine pence!
So, today I got as far as cutting out more circles to practice coasters with (patterned ones, and properly quilting, it was going to be) and then... I felt oddly dizzy. You know that thing where you stand looking at something, and it keeps moving and spinning? Like being really quite drunk (when you've not been drinking even a little bit)? Well that happened, and it kept happening for a good couple of hours, and fresh air didn't help and lying down made it feel worse, and it'd stop briefly but then start happening again... yuck! Plus it put a stop to doing almost anything... it's stopped now, I think - in fact I could almost feel the moment when whatever it was went away (not just cos stuff stopped moving, cos it'd stopped moving before that, but when I was pretty sure it wasn't going to start again). Very odd, and I didn't like it! Hopefully it was just some temporary infection or something trying to get a foothold (earhold? *g*), and it won't come back overnight and spoil my day-off-that-starts-with-an-appointment tomorrow! And honestly - there's always bloody something when I take a day off!
I did watch Discovered in a Graveyard - still one of my favourite eps. And the next one was Foxhole on the Roof, which I started watching, but actually stopped watching partway through. I was feeling odd, and the lads were so not together that Bodie was working with someone who wasn't Doyle, and... and although in another world the crooks themselves were interesting, there was way too much of them when I wanted my lads! So I gave up.
And now that the day's over, it's started raining again here... Hope your Sunday's been good!

Date: Monday, 21 November 2016 03:56 pm (UTC)Fun projects!
I'd give up on Foxhole, too. *g* (Well, as always there are good bits, but...not enough. And not after the riches of Discovered!)
My Sunday was very nice, thank you. I wrote! All because of a certain challenge... *g*

Date: Monday, 21 November 2016 06:43 pm (UTC)Foxhole is such an odd ep - I can't quite put my finger on what makes me turn it off compared to other eps that also feature the villains alot of the time. Just... nah. And as you say - after Discovered in a Graveyard, with our Bodie frantic over his Doyle... *g*
And hurrah for writing on a Sunday - especially for certain challenges! *vbg*

Date: Monday, 21 November 2016 08:57 pm (UTC)Well done on the pot-holder front. It looks very professional. Not as Professional as the key chain, mind, but still very professional. And who's been eating Lindt chocolate bunnies, then? *g*
DIAG Such a good episode! I had to wait years before I saw that ep, having missed it when it first aired on telly, but it was definitely worth the wait. :-)

Date: Tuesday, 22 November 2016 11:33 pm (UTC)And hee - the keychain is very Professional, isn't it! Not my work, needless to say! *g* The Lindt bunny was eaten many months ago - I just like the little bells... *vbg*
DiaG is one of my favourite eps - and it's the only one that I really remember watching the first time around! I know I loved Pros when it was on, and I wrote about it in my diary (cos that's the kind of teenager I was... *g*) but DiaG I remember as an episode, and how I felt when Doyle was shot (ack!) and the ghostly scenes and everything. Definitely worth a wait! (I was also desperate for it to be in the novelisations, when they were coming out almost one-by-one - and so excited when it was!) *g*

I like your coaster very much, and go you for choosing fabric with writing on it! One of my favourite kind. Besides all the others... *ggg*
