Let's see if I can get this posted before the interweb goes out again tonight...

I got two out of my three documents finished in decent time today, so I treated myself to a pootle off to Wells, to the supermarket and... um... bookshop to collect a book I ordered... and two other books that just happened to be there... And this is what it looked like as I walked back up to my car - dusk again!

And I came home and finished my third document, and now I'm eyeing up all sorts of Pros-y things... *g*

It's quite windy outside today, though dry - there's all sorts of gusts and groans out there!

Love the photo on the right. The yellow spots of light convey a feeling of warmth.

Yes! I actually hadn't planned to post the other one too, because it felt "colder", but then I decided I liked the brick wall leading into it. But I do agree about the lights. Thank you!

Mmmm, it looks sort of Christmassy and mellow with the warm light. And likewise - I've just been locking up for the night, and there are all sorts of strange bumps and groans from the wind - I guess it keeps changing direction and catching things in odd ways, but it's oddly noisy, in a nice way.

It is starting to look cosy and Christmasy, isn't it! Although to be fair, that alley always looks like that in the dark, no matter what time of year... *g* Actually I spotted Christmas decorations hung over the main street today, and it's a shame there's not any up here, it would have been pretty...

The wind is fabulous - I love it! I can hear it rushing through the little tree and then channeling down past all the stables in a rush - lovely! *g*

Hello! And you were exactly who I was thinking of when I bought it, because look! A new Virago Modern version of Angela Thirkell's Marling Hall, with a cover by Mick Wiggins!

And actually looking for a pic of the cover has shown me that when I wasn't looking they published more too! Oh, I must get me back to the bookshop - I only spotted this cos it was on a display stand with some other books. There was another one too - Miss Bunting, I think, but I was only allowed to buy one at a time... *g*

Also Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, cos the series is going to be out soon, and The Captive Prince by C.S. Pascat, which was the one I ordered, cos I keep seeing people say how good it is.

I've been must-do-a-book-posting for aaaaages... in the same way I said that tonight I must get to bed before midnight... *headdesk*
