This day is just not ending! It's been full of faffing with work, and not actually accomplishing much (and a fiddly document when I did have one), and back-and-forth with this doc and that doc, and then Job 2 popped up, of all things, needing information for next year, and... and... and...! And I'm not entirely sure that a flurry of articles for people to read was the right way to go as extra content over at Discovered in a Christmas Card, judging by the huge hush over there (but perhaps it's just been one of those days for lots of people). Oh, and I was going to see a film with book group on Thursday, which I was quite looking forward to, and it was cancelled. Gargh!

And I didn't set foot out of the house today, but that's kind of good, cos it means we can have some more Christmas sparkle. And check this out!

The prettiest little advent calendar I've seen for years - and then it turned out that you were supposed to put a candle inside it (in a glass, of course!), and isn't it magic? So much nicer than chocolates every day (well, we can have chocolate any time of year! *g*)

The other bit of bright side is that I did get quite a bit more of a Pros story written, and then typed up - but I need to get a hurry on. I keep saying I'll definitely finish it tomorrow.

But I will definitely finish it tomorrow...!

Isn't it gorgeous! I thought the chocolate advent calendars were good fun the first time I saw them, but then they just carried on and became a normal thing, and it seemed to be all about gutsing on chocolate rather than admiring something each day. And now there are the ones where you get a toy or something each day, and I can't help but think the kids who open them have less to look forward to on Christmas day - and birthdays, come to that. It must make presents and treats almost ordinary...

But yeah, in principle I have no objection to a tiny chocolate to start the day! *g*
