Today's sunset - for George Michael and Liz Smith yesterday, and for Richard Adams and Carrie Fisher today. There's only four days to go, and 2016 continues to leave me gobsmacked and sad... I know there have been some good things too (because in a whole year there must be some, somewhere), but....

I like to think that the beautiful colours are a way to say we aren't beaten by 2016 - but we are certainly bowed. I just hope 2017 doesn't continue in the same vein. :((

Oh, I like that idea! And yeah - there's always the awful possibility (and looming spectre, in some ways) that 2017 will be worse...
