I have done nothing today but ache and read and sleep and eat - what a waste of a day... But I did remember to take a photo or two...

Honey - and spiced ginger beer, which I only hope makes it to the shops back home, because it's delicious, and even managed to cheer me up a bit with my achey-bones cold...

I'm supposed to be going to a local fair tomorrow, with my brother and his family, and wee nephew is in the parade with his soccer team, and I want to go! So I'm going to bed early again, to see if I can sleep the thing out of my bones... Wish me luck!

Honey and spiced ginger beer seem like very good things indeed - and I really hope they cure your cold :-s Ugh, to be laid low at such a time - damned lurgi, damn them! Sending you all the long-distance get-better wishes.

They may well have been working for me (and your long-distance wishes, thank you!), because I feel much better now - hurrah! I thought I'd avoided lurghies too well this year...

Argh, sorry you're ill on your trip! Spiced ginger beer sounds spectacular. I'm glad it at least made you feel a little happier.

Here's to the miracle power of sleep! I do hope you can go to the fair.

Spiced ginger beer is wonderful - if you ever see it around, you must try it!

The miracle power of sleep worked (and maybe the honey too *g*) - hurrah!

Sorry to hear you've been poorly. I hope you make a swift recovery.

Bundaberg! We have that in Germany (I have a crate in my basement) and it's a fabulous ginger beer! Enjoy!

We have it in Germany? I never saw it and I would like to taste it. Where did you get it?

Yes, we have it in Germany! There is a supermarket called HIT in my town and they have Bundaberg in their getränkemarkt. It's delicious!

Edited to add that they also have it on Amazon.de

It's fab ginger beer just as ordinary ginger beer, but keep your eyes open for the spiced version (probably around Christmas time... *g*) - it's amazing!

And thank you - I'm all bouncing and posting and replying again - phew! *g*

I hope the cold vanished over night and you could go to the local fair today. :-)

It did! Thank goodness for that! Well, not entirely vanished, I guess, but I got my energy back, which is the important thing if you ask me! *g*

The read and sleep and eat part sound good to me, the aching, not so much. Hope it passed quickly.
