Winter sun this morning. I have to say, today has mostly sucked though - went to see how my agreed-new-place was getting on, cos its being done up, only to find out that due to various crises I wasn't going to be able to move in on the 17th Dec after all, it'll be in the new year! So waaah... I was sooooo looking forward to living out of a home again instead of a suitcase, and especially to getting it all cosy for Christmas... :( I was gonna get a tree, and put up Pros cards, and... And... Waaaah!

Today's proofreading was awkward too, and now I'm behind on marking... And it's just taken me over an hour to return the assignment I melted my eyes for (and rather crucially my invoice...) because my internet is down in every direction except on my phone! My pocket wifi ran out, and my antivirus firewall is for some reason blocking the weak WiFi signal I get where I'm staying right now. Gaaah!

Woe! Woe is me!

On the bright side, I did take a break for dinner and (since I couldn't catch up on Dr Who any more, what with no internet) I watched Purging and remembered how fab our lads are again... *g*

So sorry to hear about the problems with the internet, and the delayed moving in! I hope your new place will turn out extra nice and you can have decorations and Pros cards set up where you are now!

Love the photo with the sun hiding behind the clouds!

We had very crisp and clear weather here today, and it never did warm up much during the day, despite the sunshine.

The internet was so frustrating - but I did eventually manage to top up my pocket wifi today, so that should be alright for a while.

Trouble with not being able to move, is that I've got to be out of this place for Christmas too - ack! So no decorations and things for me this year, or at least only mobile ones! I think I've sorted out somewhere to stay for 24th Dec to 1st Jan (well two places, both housesitting!) but still have to work out in between. If I can stay here until the 20th or so then perhaps I can just go YHA-ing again for a few days, before the housesitting... Things are never straightforward!

Crisp clear weather is lovely - I'd like some of that, rather than our current clouds, just for a change!

Argh and damn and buggeration and bloody hell. I'm so sorry you can't move into your new place until so much later, that's an absolute p.i.t.a. :-((( I do hope that at least it's possible to get your internet back properly! Can you get a wired connection/boost the wifi somehow/tweak the firewall??? (speaking with complete ignorance, of course - I wouldn't know where to start :-( ) Lovely pic, though! I do love that reduced-palette look ... :-s

Much of all that, definitely! I have at least got my internet back (which just involved buying a new sim for my pocket wifi, one which I can hopefully just top-up this time!

The real bugger is having to move out of where I am now for Christmas. I've got a couple of places lined up for over Christmas itself (housesitting), but there are gaps too. Argh!

And thank you! *g*

Good grief, you do not have good luck with moving, do you? Or, at least, getting people to have things ready when they say they will. Do they have any idea how far into the new year you're going to have to wait?

And when it rains it pours. No internet! I don't know how I'd manage, so I can imagine what I trial it will be for you. Hope things get better soon!

No idea when the place is going to be ready now - but if it's looking like it'll take very long, then I'll have to go looking for somewhere else, which is a shame, cos I'd talked myself into this one! Ah well, we'll see...

At least I got a new sim for my wifi, so that's up and running again!

I'm sorry. That's rotten luck, and definitely a blow at this time of year. Plus the wifi issues, and work being a pain (literally). I hope improvement comes quickly!

Lovely photo though--very evocative!

I must admit the one thing I didn't expect to be over Christmas was peripatetic! Ah well... The trouble is that I can't stay where I am now cos it's needed for Christmas visitors. I've got a couple of places lined up for a few days of housesitting to take me over Christmas itself, but there's a gap before, and just - argh! I wanted a Christmas tree!

At least I have my internet back again, with a new sim...

And thanks! *g*

Oh dear! What a shame you won't be in your place for Christmas. :-(
I suggest you schedule a Second Christmas Mid-January to make up for it.
Yay! for the lads saving the day (and each other!)

I like the idea of a mid-January Christmas (though I'm a bit worried I might not even be in the place then!)

The lads are good at saving the day... and I read Bodie's Diary by Dinah before bed, and that always makes me giggle... *g*

I'm sorry you can't move in before Christmas. :-(
The photo is brilliant! Great shot! :-)

Thank you! I love pics into the sun like that... *g*

I wouldn't mind so much about not being able to move in if I was going to be in one place for the next month or so - but I have to move out of here before Christmas, and although I've got a couple of housesitting things lined up to cover a week over Christmas, there are still gaps that I need to figure out. Just rats! I was so looking forward to a Christmas tree!

Nothing is ever easy, is it. It's so frustrating when your plans go poof but I hope 2019 brings you stability and wonderful things.

I really like today's picture, it's kind of wistful. Makes me think of chasing the sun which insists on going away too early in the evening, although that too should be better soon.

I really could have done with things going smoothly for a while - I don't like being peripatetic over Christmas, cos I love all the cosy-Christmas things! Oh well... next year! *g*

And thank you!
