Not a Rainy Day in Wales

Pics today especially for
milomaus... it's the seaside!
Today I set off down little flowered roads...
...and found sea and springtime and a bit of sunshine!

And bluebell woods...

This was my lunchtime view, over the wee river harbour of this village, and across to the nineteenth century lime kilns.

Back down along the coast, and a lovely long beach walk...

I can't resist a good cave... *g*

Sea trees... *g*

Another beach!

And then, where I parked my car - a slash pond! I had to go and look
- well, it caught my eye... *g*

No lads, just water and birds singing... (turns out it's from mining times...)
I am so sleepy that I can't write anything much - suffice to say that Blue Car and I had a lovely wander up the coast, and it didn't rain at all! The sun was even warm enough that I took off my shirt once or twice. *g*
And today's ice cream (because I'm on holiday, you understand, so there must be ice cream) was banana and toffee - and very nice too!

Date: Wednesday, 19 May 2021 11:27 pm (UTC)Definitely a big change from around here to North London in the 1870s... Also, I had gt-gt-something-grandparents in London in the 1870s myself - come down from Scotland... All our people, walking around the same places at the same time... (okay, London was big, but still... *g*)

Date: Friday, 21 May 2021 09:06 am (UTC)I've never done the trip myself (in fact I've never even set foot in any part of Wales!) but it's definitely on my bucket list. I know that the cottage in Marloes where my gt-grandmother was born is still standing so seeing that is high up on my list too!
