One of these days I'm going to keep posting more regularly when I start. One of these days I'm going to commit to just the right amount of work with deadlines, rather than waaaay too much... *headdesk*

PS - ooh, shiny, there's a font-colour icon. How long's that been there? All the time? Also, I seem to have paid for another year of lj, so please don't go anywhere, anyone who's still here! *g*

The fonts are fun, aren't they — and I had no idea they were there at the click of a button... mostly I can't see the fancy new options, what with sticking to my ye olde lj style... *g*

Yes, I knew you could do it in general, but only via coding, which I was always too lazy to work out! But there's now a button my posting window, beside the other text buttons. It doesn't come up on my comment/reply window, sadly... Although there is a new emoji button... 😊🌻👬🏻 — oh look, complete with the lads holding hands. *g* Wait, does that mean I should be using 😁 instead of *g* now...?!

I'm fairly amazed anything on my lj is changing, because I'm clinging desperatey to my old style, which doesn't even let me see likes on my posts...

I still use the old style, too, so I'll have to look for the color button next time I post. I do see the emoji button, though. 😊

Yeay the old style — it's just so much nicer to read... Although I do use the newer settings for comments, because they let you use the pictures to choose the icon you want to use. So much easier than having to remember which name you gave which icon!! 🙂

I've tried creating a new post on my smartphone (via browser, not the LJ app) and the icon for font colour seems available both in Desktop snd Mobile view.
There's also the option to revert to the old style; not that I know for sure what that entails. I've always been baffled by LJ user-unfriendliness in terms of page layout/style etc. etc. 🤔😆

I am trying to post my Dec 26 story to discoveredinalj but it tells me that I'm not a member of the group and that it's closed to new membership. How may I post my story?

Hi - that's weird. You do have to be a member to post (I guess I just figured you already were), but the comm is definitely not closed to new members! I shall go and investigate...
