Yeay. I made an icon. See? Its only simple an' all, but I did it all by myself! Excitement! Yet more ways to not do work!

Am also loving the Media Cannibals vid from Circuit right now. Its growing on me the more I watch it too - great song and very them. Lover was a comrade, was a stranger, was a friend..., how perfect is that?

And on top of everything else, tonight is my last night in the hole-in-the-ground, and tomorrow is my first night in The Gorgeous Cabin!! I get to pack again, which I am NOT usually so happy about!

My computer-from-home still works (touch woody things) and I have discovered that the dvd player software that I installed just before I left home appears to have screencap capabilities... although that said it wasn't playing the dvds I was testing in it. Since I got it free from a store to replace the dodgy software I already had, perhaps it thinks I need to pay for it or summat after a few months floating around on the Atlantic... Hmmnnn.

Oh lets see, what else can I waste the last 10 minutes of my working day with? Very excited about that icon. And after all the swearing and stuff, it was good fun to make too. I forsee much happy tinkering in my future... Ooh, AND I think I've figured out how to make mood icons. The world is good... : ) (watch me miss my bus now...)

And finally - I'm withdrawing from the nasssty ssspectrometry that I've been doing. Have never done that before in my life, but its interfering with my b/d time. I mean, my work time. Like now. See how it just invades every little minute of...

A Fire Is Burning is, to my mind, one of the greatest ever Pros vids ... I'm thrilled they've remastered it. All the Media Cannibals vids are worth watching, but they're hard to get hold of these days; hopefully they'll continue to remaster more of the Pros ones - I'm helping them do that, but it remains to be seen how and whether it actually happens. I'm not sure they believe people really want to see them....

And btw, I've friended you, if that's okay - I've seen your post on [livejournal.com profile] the_safehouse (and your fic will be archived on the Circuit as soon as I get home and can catch up), but I'm here mostly because [livejournal.com profile] paris7am, who's here in London with me right now, pointed me to your LJ. I like to keep up with people who are as wildly obsessive passionate about Pros as I am ... *g*

Very happy to be friended! May I do the same back? The more Pros passion in life, the much much better *g back* And as I type you're probably on an MS high after seeing him on stage *sigh*. I know he was wonderful - and I hope you had a great time :)

Perhaps a begging email to Media Cannibals from another of their fans might be in order..?
