A Sunday November night in England - this time last year I was up to me eyeballs in snow and isotopes, this year it's a great wind and a couple of lashings of rain, The Cranford Chronicles on tv, and looking forward to getting back on the trail of the Great Condom Counterfeitererers tomorrow.
Yeay.
And best of all? Prosfic to read in bed, listening to the rain...
Oh, and I did enjoy Cranford too - even if our MS wasn't in it. And look at me - I'm all up with the latest tv and everything! (Had to cadge me way into my housemate's room to do it, but it was so worth it).
So - anyone had snow? They tell me people are gonna have snow! *eyes raindrops on window* Probably not me...

Oh yes, me too. Shame about MS, but we've still got Phil Glenister to
perv overlook at - and why didn't I know that Greg Wise was in it? I swear that man gets sexier as he gets older...So - anyone had snow
Nope, not here.
back on the trail of the Great Condom Counterfeitererers tomorrow.
I'm still not entirely convinced that you're not having us on about that job, y'know...*strokes chin thoughtfully*

Date: Monday, 19 November 2007 11:34 am (UTC)Mind you, suppose it means I shouldn't be here nattering, but I have got me hot chocolate in front of me, and if I was a smoker I'd get to go hang around quietly for ten minutes, so this is my equivalent! So there.
And back home I'm reading through the Unpro Conducts I've recently got my hands on - they're excellent zines, they really are, some fab stories. Heart was melting yesterday over Kitty Fisher's Fairground Attractions...

Date: Monday, 19 November 2007 11:37 am (UTC)I was really happily surprised by Cranford - a bit of me had been thinking hey-ho, another costume drama (not that I've seen most of the other recent ones!) but I thought it was beautifully done, just the right side of everything to make it about perfect! Hope it carries on in the same vein...

Date: Sunday, 18 November 2007 11:47 pm (UTC)But now that you mention it,a cup of hot chocolate and an earlyish night with some Pros (reading, girls, reading!) and listening to the rain on the window would just finish the day off perfectly!
And yes, wasn't Cranford a delight? I enjoyed it so much, more than I expected really and even hubby was giggling at some bits!
I've just posted on good_grub about how I spent part of my day, by the way and I see you're not in that yet (Go on - you're cooking more now, might come in handy!) so pop over and have a giggle!
Back to the condoms tomorrow then? Amazing - have fun!

Date: Wednesday, 21 November 2007 10:04 pm (UTC)I love snow, although I like it best when it's all dry and cold, and I can stay in if I want, and people don't get all panicky and grumpy about it!
Glimpses of snow are nice... *g*

Date: Wednesday, 21 November 2007 09:43 pm (UTC)I miss you too! I was so sorry to read your post the other day as well - you sound like you've had an awful time of it... I can't even believe you're sounding so chipper and positive now, so good for you. How's everything now?
And how's the dept now, is it weird with Mb somewhere else? And what about your TA, yeay for Intro to Bio? Who's new, what's up? You got moose jaws! You got a moose jaw drop box! I can't believe you dropped Russian - I knew you wouldn't do Russian... then again, apparently I'm not anymore either... GIS, me... *sighs*... Well, if the buggers here'll ever answer my email... PhD, what Phd? *sighs more* And you're staying on at UAF? Yeay you again! You're doing IGERT, aren't you... *reads between lines*... is it still called IGERT? That interdisciplinary thingie, anyway, with Craig and Gary and all? That one?
Really I should email, right? Right. Look out for an email from me, but at googlemail instead of hotmail these days. Hotmail are update-y sods! And if I get distracted (cos I'm like that) feel free to kick me here...
