...because Wheeeeee!, I've finally finished exam marking for the session! It has gone on forever, although that could be partly because I was also working full time at another job this year...

But at last I am finished, and having a weekend away visiting Pros fan extraordinaire [livejournal.com profile] f_m_parkinson, and we have watched eps (Hunter/Hunted and Backtrack, since you ask *g*) and chatted lads, and... had a bit of a hunt through what FMP calls "a box", and I call "an amazing box of wonderments and joy", because Pros pictures! Articles! Snippets! Posters! The lads! And amazingly it was only "the first box", even... *vbg*

The hunt involved a picture that [livejournal.com profile] ali15son recently posted, which FMP was sure she'd seen before with an associated article, and so we began, excavating lower and lower through treasures... FMP finished her side of the box first, and I took out the last handful of papers on my side... and there it was!

And to celebrate my time being my own again, and FMP's excellent memory, and for everyone else who was curious about the picture and it's background, here is FMP's copy. *g*

1982-01-22 MS DreamMachine

I will post this over to [livejournal.com profile] ci5hq_dnoticed, with FMP's permission, but for now - happy gazing and reading. And I fully intend to get back to posting at lj, I really do...

How're you doing? *g*

In the spirit of posting a bit more often, I shall inundate you with photos of the weekend... *g* I got to London on Saturday, where the tube line I needed had closed, so I was a wee bit late getting to my hotel, where [livejournal.com profile] heliophile_oxon was patiently waiting. We had a wander and a sandwich and much chat, and it didn't matter at all that it was raining a bit, because yeay, Pros-friends-chat! So that was an excellent start to the weekend. *g*

I'd been "upgraded" to a room with a four-poster bed, which looked rather cool...
2018-05-12 FourPosterBed
...and would have been even cooler if the room wasn't above the boiler room from which there was a constant loud whining overnight. Still, I think it's the first four-poster bed I've slept in! *g*

I had to work on Sunday of course, from the ridiculous hour of registration-at-8am. We got there for half-eight, but even so we were way too early for the hotel breakfast. With a work commute like this though, I didn't mind too much.

And this was part of my commute "home" from work that day...

Bizarrely enough I've not been to see this yet - it's just been bad timing to even think about it, and I must admit that it's not a role or play I'm dying to see. I would like to see it, but... well, I'll have to work it out.

Stopped for a drink after work with Colleague, which was just so nice and civilised - you don't get to do that much when you're proofreading (in which case it's just drinking alone at home, not at all the same!) or nannying (where it's rather frowned upon...!) We picked a random pub - oh, it was The Princess of Wales! - and I realised that this was above C's head.

So a bit of added romance and swashbuckling!

After which I collected my luggage and took myself off to meet [livejournal.com profile] kiwisue, who's putting me up for a couple of nights. There was dinner and chat and especially chat about Point of Sighs (*happy happy sigh*) and more Pros-friends-chat.

And now I'm looking forward to meeting more Pros-chaps at a Pros location around lunchtime - including a surprise addition to the group, as arranged by KWS. Plus the sun is out. Yeay!

So much for going outside today, I seem to have found a new place to find fab things about our lads... *g*

Double-click to read them more easily - though they're not the best quality. But still - all new articles to me, and pictures of our lads, too! *g* Happy Saturday!

Just cos...

...I am totally charmed by this...

Capped from Greenheart's vid of the lads accepting the 1981 TV Times award for Most Compelling Male Actors on TV (we knew that! *g*), which was posted by [livejournal.com profile] jaycat92 over at [livejournal.com profile] the_safehouse, which bless 'em always makes me wince a bit (the vid of them accepting the award, not the Safehouse... *g*) cos they're so not smooth - but then that's why I adore them, too... Anyway - I'm very glad I watched it through to the end this time, because I'm not sure I've ever seen them sitting back down at their own wee table before... Just... doesn't it make you want to watch them hug each other hug them? *vbg*

The weirdest thing...

...my flist has been empty since I posted to [livejournal.com profile] scene_again myself last night! I think that's the first time since... well, since I had a flist, almost! The planes came back, and everyone here vanished overnight! *g*

Is anyone out there? Was the rest of the world swallowed up, and I've just not read the papers yet? Hello?

We'd better have a couple of pics of the lads, just to fill in time... *g*

MS and the lions...

Not that I'm hugely bored already or anything (I'm working on it!), but cruising the sites on my coffee break, I found this article with pics I'd never seen before - MS saving lions via The Born Free foundation...

More pics and MS-ish stuff... )

ETA - No, wait! Two new pics from further scouting! (Just five minutes more, mum... *g*) These ones from something called the Gresh site. And might I just say - *thunk*...

My internet is being seriously dodgy this morning, so every time I think I'll do something it takes me three times as long. So while I've been waiting I've been dipping into The Book... *g*

From a description of "When the Heat Cools Off":
Michael Sheard (Merton): "I'd been employed to play a small role set in Cowley's office, with the three leads, as a gun expert. The director, Ray Austin, had the clever idea that we could throw the gun to each other rather than just pass it. Martin and Lewis were a riot; each time I threw it they'd drop it, and burst into fits of laughter. They kept apologising to Ray and telling him the gun was slippery, but it's obvious they were letting it drop on purpose. It took quite a few takes to complete the scene, and in the end even Gordon Jackson was pleased when Ray was content with the final sequence and called it a wrap. I read somewhere later that Martin and Lewis didn't see eye-to-eye during the production; that I find hard to believe on what I witnessed during my day on the show!"

I love it - our lads are complete and utter eejits, but they were absolutely together in their eejiocy! *vbg* Those reports of them hating each other just doesn't fit with what we really know! *sighs happily, wanders off to see if this'll post...*

Because [livejournal.com profile] ailcia made me , but that's okay cos it's Friday and we love her to bits too.
(Plus also cos I did it at hers... *g*)

Leave a comment and I'll:
1. Tell you why I friended you. (So long ago for some people now - I can barely remember breakfast!)
2. Associate you with something - fandom, a song, a colour, a photo, a word etc.
3. Tell you something I like about you.
4. Tell you a memory I have of you.
5. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you. (To which you must respond!)
6. Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.
7. In return, you must post this in your LJ. (If you want.) *g*

Hmmn, so there we go.

And also it's Friday, and the sky is blue, and I've been bustling at work so I didn't get to write any more Comic Relief today, but I want to when I get home. And home is early today cos it's Friday (though the bus will get caught in traffic, and I'll go to the supermarket, and it'll all be the same anyway, but hey-ho!)

Aaaaand... gaaaah! Thank goodness for lovely bosses, cos who forgot to do her timesheet today, even when Lovely Boss came up just now and said "So, do you have anything you want me to sign?" *headdesk* Also, was chatting with her yesterday about how neither of us watched much telly, and said "The best thing for years was "Apparitions", you know, with Martin Shaw as the priest?" And she said "Oh, I didn't see that, but Martin Shaw's lovely isn't he?" *vbg* I knew she was a decent bod!

... so for a bit of comfort before bed (I'm ridiculously sleepy this week - why?!), I decided to listen to my new toy... A treat for my first clear-ish payday since I started work... which was actually supposed to be a treat from ebay, but as usual I lost that one, so I remembered that I'd been meaning to write away about this instead - and so I did, and look what it is... (double click, especially on the first one... *g*)

I love the artwork they've done on the cover - it's him! It's older-him, but made up 14 years ago (1995)! Plus, he's being a whimper-y scared squirrel, and there was this lovely sleepy-voice bit as well... *g*

And for people who never click... see what you might have missed!

Oh my - just found these over at YouTube... And he mentions Pros, and he sounds perfectly happy about it, and this was from 1984! He's got the Scott of the Antarctic haircut, but on the bright side - he's wearing bike leathers... *g*

Some days suck, and so do some other days, but sometimes things come in the post that just make you grin and grin and grin... And today it was Jane Asher's Fancy Dress (1983), that I've been meaning to buy for ages, and succumbed to yesterday (cos it was really cheap) - and it arrived today! And... three pages of Martin Shaw dressed as a sandwich!

Aaaaaand... as a "jailbird"...

How can you not grin wildly at that! Happy Friday! *g*

So to celebrate having lj back - and they were up an hour before they said they'd be as well, go them! - and the fact that there are only five more slots to fill for the [livejournal.com profile] discoveredinalj Discovered Whilst A-Carolling Challenge, and the fact that I've finally finished writing my first teaching job application for nearly 20 years (erk!) and it's all in an envelope with a stamp and everything ready to be sent off tomorrow...

... I thought I'd do some Pros-y scanning as well. *g*

So here's LC )
