Hurrah - ProsWatch! And oh, The Gun - reviled by almost everyone, let's see what it's all about...

Ooooh - and there is a gun... *g*

Oh, and I adore early-morning lads, Bodie a bit grumpy, Doyle needing to be dropped off at his car - where's he spent the night then? *g* Bodie knowing where Doyle's car is better than Doyle does, though and... oh, hee - Doyle loving Bodie's "Shall I put out an APB for it?"... *g*

And then Doyle handing over the RT, teasing Bodie and... just... they've so spent a completely fab night together and are just... together here! Plus don't you just love the way their hands slide together when Bodie takes the RT from Doyle? *g*

Oh, trouble at the caf... But heeeee for the oldie snatching a chance and grabbing cash with his walking stick!

Doyle asleep in the car on the way to Inger - he really can sleep anywhere... *g*

Bodie looking to Doyle as he suggests that they go and find Paul...

"You're this one's partner aren't you?" asks Inger - oh, and look at the way the lads are looking at each other... *hugs them*

Bodie all stirring the lads in the caf... he is grumpy! Needs his sleep perhaps, poor pet... *g*

Inger all worried, Doyle all amiable but wondering whether Inger knows much about addicts...

And oh, bad things on the boat... and then at the Ace High Club - very slimy bearded-bloke! Young first-time bloke always reminds me of Wicksy... slightly posher accent, mind... *g* He's very pleased with that gun now, mind... had a taste of power... Oh, and compare him the posh one gone wrong, with those four lads sitting in the caf, the ones Bodie gave aggro - bit of social commentary there d'you think?

Ah, and here's the other poor little rich boys...

Hee - stagger-y morning Bodie! All wrapped up and cosy... Whatever time/day is this anyway? The lads were up desperately early - or else had just finished "the graveyard shift" though I still think they look like they've been enjoying themselves... *g* Bodie's had a quick kip at Inger's? And she's getting ready for school... He's grumpy - actually he's kind of grumpy all through this ep - and he's not keen on that carrot juice he's just made! Hmmn - "Tell Doyle I'll be there in ten"...

(sorry, that second one there was just a gratuitous Bodie-bum-shot... *g*)

Paul is dead, and Bodie's giving Inger some tough love about it... But he gives her a hug and a strong chest, and a good hold afterwards... I think he knows she's tough and doesn't want to be told sympathetic rubbish...

Doyle's with Cowley - all professional, but more importantly his hair's properly curly still... *g* Cowley very blase about the way CI5 search property, apparently - "Did we do this?"!

Back to the baddie and the poor little rich kids... Love the background noise, the birds singing - such a lovely English summer's day... to be killing your best mate with the Gun...

Off to school with Inger and Bodie - and Cowley this time. The state of Bodie's face! Oh, what time's that clock chiming? Eight o'clock... So - this has all happened so far in maybe three hours?!

Doyle at the hospital, with Paul's girlfriend... She's not doing very well... Doyle making jokes about MI5... *g* Eek - Doyle wants to give Patricia any baby! He's forgotten that babies of heroin addicts might be born addicted, perhaps? You'd think he'd know, our drugs expert...

Inger being alot more touch-y feel-y than teachers are allowed to be now...

Hee - love the rockstar - "It's you older fans who've seen me through the bad times..!" *g* Look at Doyle's walk down the hospital corridor... is it because he's got his hands in his pockets? Or is it just him being him?! *g*

Ah, people who think money solves everything... Our lads aren't impressed... and they turn to each other in incredulity...

Hee - "I thought you older fellows were fans of his" Bodie says in the car! Bodie's being very... sonorous in this one actually - very deep voiced and serious...

Gosh, look at CI5 hq these days - getting more impressive day by day isn't it - all shiny and glossy and all!

Heeee - Bodie teasing Doyle about the lost car...

And heeee - "I think his mother was a witch!" *vbg* Ooh, Doyle very defensive about harassing the Buchanan girl - and unapologetic about wanting to show her the wrong baby for expediency's sake! "It's all crap!" *g*

The lads arriving with a smile to find Tony's been snatched... Bodie wanting to seal off half of London, Doyle all of it... with a smile again... Oh, and canon for Doyle's leg being somewhere on the dashboard - it's got to be with his thigh that high! (ooh er, missus...)

Holster alert! Doyle in holster - and forearms... *g*...

Bodie looking quite young with short hair like that...

Cowley's all worried - he knows that Tony's the key... They're doing alot of sitting around for agents in a panic, mind you!

Tony has suddenly remembered that he's Spanish... is he actually being clever so that he can pretend he doesn't understand Wicksy?

Ha - Bodie knows about mules... Oh, but Doyle is ready to jump to action - and he's cross when Cowley pulls him back...

Ah no, apparently Tony is not clever like that...

Doyle understanding the computers...

...sitting back down again...Aha - and our lads are off together again! Bodie's sleeves are done up this time, but... rather straining at the seams - is that why he usually wears them undone? Is it all about his forearms?! *g*

A chase! The lads together in a chase - oh, and a fight... A very punch-y fight this one - not so much of the usual martial arts...

Cowley being threatening again... And the lads have got somewhere to go now - hand on gun, Doyle enters... Bodie right behind him...

...nothing except a mess... Oh, an "'ey" from Doyle - and a clue from the kid...

Back to school - Bodie greeting Inger's CI5 agent by name... Bodie being all... again, overly-serious suddenly? Doyle's social conscience rubbing off on him? Love that he automatically says "since you met Doyle and I" rather than taking all the credit for Inger feeling as though things might work out...

Doyle and Cowley... sitting around in front of a computer again... It's just so the wrong place to see Doyle, somehow! He should be out on the streets, in action...

Bodie in the car on the RT... Doyle in his car - found it, clearly, unless this is another one! "Operation Hamper"?!

Ah, and Inger has found The Gun... And Roy has met a bad man... Not really sure why Tony didn't misdirect Wicksy there at the end... Luckily Inger is a fair old shot...

And here's CI5 striding very purposefully into...

... oh, and Doyle leaps over the wall, finds Tony and says "Get a medic, quick!" - there's canon for "medic", then! *g* Bodie's inside and dealing with the other baddies very efficiently, Doyle as well... and slimy bloke's retreat is cut off by Cowley...

Hee - "That's our new typist" says Bodie about Doyle... Stands close to Doyle though, for all that he's come in with his arm around Inger - there's nudging and there's standing very close to indeed... *g*

And off they go, jumping to Cowley's every command... But not too unhappy about it really... *g*

Well, the magic isn't quite there, and Bodie's very grumpy, and okay, so it's not the most fast-paced of eps in many ways, and there's far too much time spent on Inger and Wicksy and Tony and all the other characters, but... it's not that bad... I'd watch it over Close Quarters any day, cos our lads are together in this one! So there. And goodnight. *g*

Hee - I've never even thought about the music playing in the hospital, I guess I just accept that as typical emotional seventies/eighties... erm... crap... *g*

Erm... isn't it that Wicksy's boss is using Wicksy and Paul because they were at that school and know the characters... I guess I tend to assume that they're in a particular area of London because of that (though obviously I could be way wrong realistically - a particular made up area of London *g*) which would mean that it was *likely* to be kids from the school... and it turns out that Jerry Lee's dad wasn't involved, so...

My excuse for Doyle's drug thingie is that he's not been doing it for a while, and so might have forgotten something "social" like that...

I had second-thoughts about the opening scene as I was typing up the commentary - I think I through it in somewhere, but... I think they've maybe been on duty all night, cos Doyle says "this is why they call it the graveyard shift" but I reckon they've been all quiet and themselves, so that they've maybe just *been themselves* and then Bodie gets all grumpy cos instead of finally going home to bed, they have to keep working... *g* Or is that just me sort of writing fic in my head? *g*
