Oh that were good, weren't it!

So... what did you think?!

I thought it was fabulously intrigue-y and think-y - and I do like shows like that... It makes me want to go and find out more than the little I know about the Pope during WWII, but more especially afterwards - did that really happen to his body after death? I bet it must have if they put it in the show, which is just fascinating...

And... oh, I don't know where to begin talking without spoilering, so....

What did you think?!!!

Oh, I thought it was much better than last week's ep, even though I enjoyed that a lot.

I even had a couple of moments where I had to cover my eyes cos I just knew that something awful was about to happen. I was actually quite disappointed that I didn't feel frightened at all during the first ep, so ep 2 scores more points on that score.

And I wasn't ready at all for the final twist in the tale...

So, yep - thumbs up for ep 2!

(And MS still has such a sexy walk, doesn't he! *g*)

Hmmn - I still like last week's best I think, but I really liked this one... I jumped in the light shop! And... you didn't feel frightened in the first one? Erk!! It had its moments!

The final twist was interesting.... I sort of thought it, but I didn't think it would be true.. it still might not be... Apps is tricksy that way!!

And oh yes, the sexy walk... *g*

The plot is a thing of beauty. All the layers, the tiny details you don't really notice until you think about it later, which infuse it with so much more meaning...

And the LOOK. At the end. The last 15 minutes. The parting line. I was reduced to incoherency, I swear. *dances*

Yes! I loved the layers, they were fab! And the end - eeeeek! *dances with you*

I loved how you realised that all the tiny little happenings that you'd seen by the end actually *were* leading up to various things from the end...

Precisely! These incongruous details which you don't think mean much (or which you think mean something entirely different), and then the end, and wham!

Oh, 'tis too marvelous for words. I'd say I'd cuddle the show, only it isn't exactly a show for cuddling now, is it? More to discuss think-y thoughts over a coffee with....

I'm enjoying it so much more than I expected to, because this is not my favourite genre but I can fully see now why, when the Beeb saw these two, they put it on hold and commissioned the rest of the series. Just imagine how we'd all be wailing now if it ended there, there is so clearly much more to come.
And there was one sequence tonight where Father Jacob ran along a corridor and it was a pure 'essence of Doyle' run! Gosh, he is wearing well!!!
Brilliant stuff!

Oh I am glad! And yes - I'd forgotten about it being just a one-off at first! Imagine after that look and there was nothing more!

He really is wearing well isn't he... *hugs father Jacob* (Oh, and speaking of which, couldn't you just feel him hugging his mentor that time too? And then, just... ohhhhh...

And he slurped his tea! I forgot about it, but I did happy squee then too! (which would be less so if he was behind me in a cafe, but he's not, so...*g*)

Please be all spoilery!! (Is that even a word?) Spoilers are how I get into a new fandom, and this sounds really interesting. I live in the States, so any spoilers would be great, at least until the series comes out on DVD and I can get my greedy hands on it!!
