... cos I haven't spammed you enough, lately... *g*
Turns out I actually took a picture of a blue moon on New Year's eve - I was paying no attention at all, but this is the second full moon in December, which only happens about once every two and a half years - huh! Thank you [livejournal.com profile] snailbones for reminding me to check out the Astronomy Pic of the Day.

Speaking of which - Planetary Systems Now Forming in Orion!
Baby us-es!

In other news - why can't I write today?! I mean, I am, and I've done 2000 words, but I need to do at least a thousand more today, and my writey-brain is all reluctant... It just wants to do other things (although I don't know what, exactly... Is there even anything good on telly, tonight?) I'm all disturbed by what was actually a rather daft dream last night, to do with a bank that wouldn't give me change without me proving who I was with my passport, or something... It wasn't even my bank! But there was one of those intense, worried atmospheres to it, you know? *shudders* And today I'm all restless, and I should probably have gone for a walk or something, but instead I stayed in my pyjamas until late and tried to write. *sighs* Maybe I'll watch Lady in the Water and try to spook myself out of it - although I have a strange feeling that might just make things worse... *headdesk* Stoopid day. And I want it to be much, much nicer to my friends, too! Stoopid day.

That reminds me that I took a couple of pictures of the blue moon as well, only I haven't even looked at my camera, never mind uploaded them to see if they are even halfway decent or not!

I had high hopes of getting some writing done today, as well, only it has absolutely not happened. Apparently my brain is on strike for the duration of the holidays - I can have lovely fic/meta-ish thoughts when away from the PC but the moment I sit down with a document in front of me they all evaporate. So I shall spend the evening watching my Lark Rise to Candleford DVDs instead and consider the time well spent. *G*

Heee! I'm a bit obsessive about looking at my camera I must say, but I had no idea it was a blue moon until I was told! *g*

Isn't writing stoopid - when you can't do it, when you're in the shower, when it's absolutely impossible to write cos you're driving or on the edge of sleep - then the words come... Stoopid words... I can't believe that I was actually reduced to watching a dance competition on telly. So not me... but I did. *sighs* It was either that, or darts, or football or Ben Stiller. God 'elp us who don't 'ave freeview...

DVDs. They are a blessing to those in despair of the television schedule. Especially shiny new DVDs that came for Christmas and that someone else, therefore, paid for. *G*

Oh I know - and I'm usually queen of dvd-watching over telly-watching, and have a few that I've got to watch, though they're all movies now... I clearly should have put an order in for some tv series on dvd, shouldn't I! Actually, I've still got Rome that I can watch on my lappie, come to think of it... though I got stuck in SPN on Wendigo, and havent' got back to that yet...

Telly tomorrow though - MS in Poirot, Three Act Tragedy! Yeay!

Just found this comment still in my inbox and realised I never did reply to it, although I meant to...

I'm not a big Poirot fan, so gave it a miss, even MS not enough to draw me in - but I was very sad that he didn't reprise his role as Peter in Cranford for the two-part Christmas special!

You should indeed finish Rome, for sure. Fabulous show. ♥ Lucius Vorenus and Titus Pullo! Mark Antony! Woot!

Supernatural isn't for everyone - I think you either hook into the brothers' relationship or you don't, and so much of the show hinges on that relationship that if it doesn't hook you, you'll probably struggle. Me, I love the characters, enough that I can forgive occasional patchiness (which every show has, after all), but I know that it isn't for everyone. And Wendigo certainly isn't a favourite episode for many people, although personally I love it (has that fab fireside scene between the brothers, plus a side helping of hurt Dean, what's not to love?) We all have our individual preferences, after all. :)

I did go out and think oooh, gorgeous moon and go back up to get my camera, I have to say - must have known there was something worthwhile there! *g*

But there was one of those intense, worried atmospheres to it, you know? *shudders*

I completely understand. I had a dream the other night and all I can remember is one sentence that I was saying to someone (I don't know who...) and it was, 'I might not make it to Christmas'. Then I woke up. Talk about a worried atmosphere to it and now I can't quite get that sentence out of my head. 8-(

Oh, how horrid... But you did, you did make it to Christmas, and all is well and you're already proved wrong! And me, I shall never go inside another Lloyd's Bank in my life! *g*

The thing is... because it was only a couple of nights ago I assumed it was referring to 'next' Christmas... not the one just gone. It's creeping me out because I do sometimes get premonition dreams... I dreamt that I was running from water a couple of nights before the tsunami several years ago, for instance. I know it's a bit weird but there ya go. I'm going to take a deep breath and try to forget it.

Ohhh - well that's just not fair! Though... even so it only said might not, right, so... premonitions or not it's only vaguery, something to worry about but not necessarily take for a certainty... and we all might not really, so... Definitely deep breaths and forgetting! And hugs - you'd better have a hug too!

It *is* vague I agree and also 'make it to Christmas' for what? I'm thinking the worst but it might mean a stupid dvd or a book that I can't wait to get for a Christmas pressie but have to buy beforehand. Who knows! I must not worry. I must not...

Thank you for the hug. :-)

Oooh, thanks for telling us about the blue moon, I took a piccie, too but this first one is a picture of the full moon I took on the first December!
and this one is the "blue Moon", just moon, no clouds (yay, look at the difference with the new camera)! Technically this was taken on the 1st January, at 2 minutes past midnight, so not two moons in the same year less still the same month! But it's the same moon it was three minutes before, honest!

Yay for your Blue Moon photo!

I enlarged The Astronomy Pick of the Day then clicked on the little aquare in the middle, and there is a man's face in there! Sort of profile, long dark hair. Have a look. *g*

I hate restless days! Did you manage to settle, and get any more writing done?
