rosesandlavender02My bedtime reading these days seems to have fallen into favourite reading, where I keep whatever book I have on the go for daytime sitting up reading, and read something familiar and comfortable and cosy (to me, anyway - I suspect our mileage on that might vary *g*). It doesn't necessarily mean Pros (cos K.J. Charles! Joanna Chambers!) but it does at the moment, and right now I have a zine waiting for me and my hot water bottle, and it's Roses and Lavender 2, from Allamagoosa Press (which I believe is still available from the publisher - at least I've not seen anything that says differently). I've read them before, but one advantage of a sieve-like memory is being able to re-read them again quite often... *g*

Hours of Darkness by Alex T. MacKenzie and Irene - this is the one I'm reading right now, having just picked the zine up yesterday. It starts with the lads in Spy Probe, filling in between various scenes, and Bodie wondering exactly what happened to Doyle when Ferris and Twig sussed him...

Edge of the Sky by Blackbird - don't remember this one, though I feel a vague unease about it for some reason... we'll see!

Night on the Town by Elizabeth Holden - I like this author ([livejournal.com profile] fajrdrako), so looking forward to this one again.

Keeper by Irene - recommended to me many years ago by now-Istia, and she was absolutely right, it's one of my favourites... (just as she was about Larton *g*)

No Limit Stakes by PFL - don't remember this one either!

Between Dreams We Lie Awake - I remember this as not an easy read, but in a good way.

Local Time by Irene - Irene is one of my favourite Pros authors in general, so I'm looking forward to being reminded of this one too. She's one of those mysterious Pros authors that other people say does exist, but is very off-internet... *g* I remember thinking at one point that she was from the UK, just because of certain things in her writing, but I think now probably not - mostly for the same reasons. But who knows, and it's pure curiousity, cos whoever she is, she writes fab lads. *g*

So what about you - are you reading Pros right now? Wotcha re-ead-ing?

I think I have read that zine before! As Ive mentioned before, my memory also aids me in the sieve like way so stories remain fresh and new time and again! Irene., I love. I need to figure out how to move stories from the pros lib Dvd onto granny kindle. Before latest deadline I devoured Two Birds No Stone be Rosa w and sherrold. I had read it before but it made no difference. Enjoyed. A different set up or approach.

It's a good zine - all the Roses and Lavenders are! And I'm with you in celebrating the ability to re-read, as often as we want! (And sometimes I do remember, and that's exactly why I want to re-read.... *sighs happily*

I half remember the Two Birds story - but only half. So another good re-read for the list! *g*

By sheer coincidence I've lately been reading Roses and Lavender 3, with many stories by the same line up of authors. So much to like!

I have the Rose and Lavender zines, but I don't think I've read this one. I'll have to pull it out and check...which will be nice since I'm not really reading any fanfic right now (Mount TBR looms. *g*)

Definitely worth pulling out - all the Roses and Lavenders are, if you ask me! *g*

My Mount TBR is looming too, but I must admit that in January I eye it and think plenty of time for some fic first... *g* That said, I read my first TBR fic the other day, and am more than half-way through my second! I should be posting on lj, shouldn't I....

I confess I don't have any of the Roses and Lavenders, should I invest? *bg* I've just been through Harlequin Airs again (beautiful zine!) and this morning I dragged down one of my files labeled "multi-author" to see what lay within, and am starting through Other Times and Places II. I don't think I've read "Hours of Darkness" nor "Local Time," I supposed I shall have to find money for them! *bg*

Yes, these ones are worth investing in, I'd say! Irene's stories are published in them, which is a good reason to start with, never mind all the others... *g* I like R&L3, but that's cos it has my favourite Voice-Over by Elizabeth O'Shea in it, though that is available online. I liked the last one too, number 6, though I must re-read to remind myself about how much... *g*

You may have talked me into it *g*
