Stoopid head...

Despite having quite a nice, relaxed weekend, I woke up again this morning with a head/eye/faceache. Waaaaah! On the bright side, I did do something yesterday which I've not done in recent days without a headache - had vintage cheese in my sandwich and had yoghurt in my dinner. So... maybe it's that, so all I'd need to do was try to avoid dairy like the plague... which is a bit of a bugger, to be honest, but I would really like to never have this headache again, cos ow!

Also - work. Of course. I must work, with this headache, which is making me very fed up indeed. There's only one thing for it.

Random picspam with our lads.

Other days... Although looking at the pic on the left, I'm wondering if Doyle might take up the violin now that they've retired to the Half Moon... *g*

Love them sharing coffee... it's the little things. *g*
One of my favourite scenes is actually in No Stone at the end, where they trade the cup of coffee back and forth so naturally...

Suppose I'd better get back to work now... both corporate-sodding-business type docs today... *sighs* I miss Friday.

Oh, rats to the head pain. *hugs* It does sound like you're having a reaction to something though, doesn't it? What a beast. I hope avoiding dairy for a while will sort it out for you - and with luck you can wean yourself back onto the nice stuff after a while.

Thank you for the piccies of the lads - just what I needed after a day of chasing my own tail - and not catching it either! Never mind - another day tomorrow... Good luck with killing the evil work quickly so you can get back to the nice things, and here's hoping your head pain will bugger off soon.

It's hard to say really, cos I've never had a reaction to anything before! Well, except a combination of pain meds and blood transfusion once, and that was fairly dramatically obvious! I don't want to be allergic to things, either - or even intolerant of them! *sulks* Maybe it'll turn out to be the whole getting-old thing, and will go away... *is hopeful*

Eep for chasing tails - sounds like you're doing alot of that lately... here's hoping that there'll at least be a pic of the lads stuck to the end of it today! Your tail I mean. If you're chasing. Something fun to look at on the way. Blimey, and I work with words... *headdesk* What I mean is - happy Tuesday!

Sorry about your headache. Going dairy-free for a while might help. Sometimes it's also due to how certain food types are combined in the same meal that they shouldn't go together. Hope you'll be better soon.

Yeah, I wonder if it's a combination - I'm sure I've eaten that cheese without ill effects before, but I've not had yoghurt for a long time, so... hmmn! It's finally just about thinking of leaving properly now - I have high hopes for tomorrow! *g*

Poor thing for having a bad head and an achy face :-( I hope you feel better soon.

Sharing coffee, yes! I also like how Cowley, Doyle and Bodie share the bottle of Moet at the end of 'Heroes'. :-)

Thank you - I think my head is finally looking up a bit. Well, you know what I mean. *g*

The Moet never seems quite as cosy to me as B/D sharing their coffee - more ladsy, somehow. But maybe that's cos I think it's also a scene where LC substituted real champagne or something for the water or whatever the drink was supposed to be for the scene - MS makes such a face, and LC is all I'm-not-laughing grin before he takes his own drink! *g*

Ugh, hope your hurty head's feeling better. Many sympathies - I have stoopid head/eye ache too - pretty sure mine's low pressure :(

Oh no - yuck for us both! I wonder if mine might be linked to the low pressure too - I never thought about that... Mine's just about thinking of going away now - hope yours is too, if it's not already gone!

So sorry about the head - is it any better? Could well be the cheese, invisible mould spores.

I love that No Stone scene too, though I assumed it was tea, for no very good reason!

It's just about thinking about slinking off now, as I type - I have high hopes for tomorrow! *g*

It could well be tea in the thermos - I'm projecting my preference for coffee I suppose (though I'm also assuming Nescafe or Red Mountain (or if they're very unlucky, Maxwell House *g*) instant, rather than the kind of coffee I actually like... *g*) Hmmn, maybe the new dvds will let us assess the colour... *vbg*

I sympathise with the head situation - and I'd hazard a guess that experimenting with food or food combinations might be worth a look. Also ventilation, is that a possible factor? Though from your description of your place it doesn't seem likely. Ugh, in any case. Sometimes I'm glad that ibuprofen and paracetamol can be overlapped!
Thank you for the lovely lads pics, they fair brighten up the screen :-)

I'm wondering if it might have been the yoghurt in combination with something else - maybe even the weather, which I didn't think of until Solosundance mentioned it above... I don't thin it's ventilation - I tend to have the windows open a bit even if it's raining in summer, and I've been keeping my door open at night... But still... I wish I could overlap ibuprofen with anything - I can't take it any more, and of course it's the med that usually worked for me... *sighs*

Lovely lads is lovely, isn't they! *g*

So sorry to hear that you're not feeling well. Is it just a headache, or are there other symptoms? There's a lot of stuff in the air right now. Could it be a sinus headache?

But such lovely pics of the Lads that you managed to post, even through the pain. The bottom left one has always been one of my favorites. They both look so gorgeous in it, and for some reason, to me, they really look like a couple in it.

It's been a bit all over the place this headache - headache, and faceachey, and sinus-below-my-eyes and sinus-around my nose... yuck! Don't think I've felt sick-y or anything with it though... I used to think it was sinus-y, but then I coincidentally didn't have either milk in my coffee (I sometimes just go off it) or yoghurt on my fruit for breakfast, and I felt so much better! So now I'm thinking dairy...

Sometimes you need a little lads for comfort... *g* There is something about that bottom left pic, isn't there... *g*

Ouch - I hope your head is feeling better by now. Bugger if you have to give up dairy; I would hate to give up cheese in particular. Could it be sinus problems, though, rather than a food sensitivity? Not that it would be any less painful, but at least you wouldn't be feeling painful AND deprived if that were the case.

My head's just thinking about being better now - I have great hopes for tomorrow! I did think it was a sinus thing originally, for years, actually, but then I coincidentally stopped having milk in my coffee (sometimes I go off it and just prefer it black) and also didn't have yoghurt on my breakfast fruit for a week, and I felt so much better! So I started wondering about the whole dairy thing... I ,really don't want to be intolerant of it, let alone allergic, but I'm going to keep experimenting with avoiding it and then trying little bits. In this case I'd say the yoghurt in my salad/dinner was a mistake... We'll see - I'm just glad it finally seems to be clearing!

It's funny how something you've eaten for years can be making you feel off, and you don't even realise until you stop. Like just about everyone in the world I grew up eating bread just about every day, right up until about 12 months ago when I cut it from my regular diet. Weekend before last I was feeling hungry when I did my weekly shop, and caved in, buying a loaf of my favourite multi grain bread, and I went back to taking a sandwich to work for lunch. Over the last week my brain has felt progressively more foggy, and by yesterday I was really struggling to concentrate at work. It has to be the bread! I did feel a lot clearer-headed today; "Grain Brain", it appears, is a real thing, at least for me.

Reeeeally belated reply, cos this got lost in my inbox, but here's interesting (well, to me!) - I managed to avoid both dairy and wheat yesterday, and I woke up without a headache this morning! I also realised that what I thought was a mystery-headache last week, because I'd definitely avoided dairy, was probably because I forgot that flour is, by definition, wheat, and used it in some cooking - a minor, minor amount, but I guess my brain is counting it all. I can't believe I've come up so sensitive to these things now, but I guess I'm joining you in Grain Brain!
