Woke up with the most 'orrible 'eadache this morning, and felt sick-y and everything, so much so that I ended up going right back to bed for the morning. Luckily I was feeling better by early afternoon, enough to manage a bit of work, though I had to delay most of it. What I was able to manage though, bizarrely and I suspect because I did just decide I really couldn't concentrate enough to proofread - was to write some fic! Some lads, even! Just some random B/D... *g* Will it be finished? I think giving it a point might mean that it's longer than I might have meant, but... we'll see. *g* Meanwhile...

...the main reason I needed to feel better was because it was the first Writing Class of term tonight. I still had a shadow of a headache, but there we were, and I even did some more writing. Not Pros, but a wee complete thingie. Yeay. *g*

Have some dairy free Swiss Roll.
What's with your headaches? They should get lost somewhere on the moon or bother the marsians.

Hopefully today is better! And go you for writing!!

Thank you! *g* And oh, I don't know - I thought I'd got it sussed with the dairy-thing, so yesterday was rather unexpected... They should definitely go and bother some other planet! Oh! Maybe it's the Martians bothering me! Maybe I'm about to be taken over and become a pod-person...! (Maybe I just need to go and have some coffee and breakfast... *vbg*)

Another headache? Maybe it's not dairy after all. My husband gets them whenever there's a change in air pressure, like when a storm is coming in. I guess you'll just have to keep testing things out.

And good to hear that there's been some Pros writing! Even if you don't finish it anytime soon, it's always there to pick up.

I know - it's driving me batty! I think there's definitely a dairy connection, because it's too much of a coincidence that they've mostly gone after not eating it - and that I definitely do get a headache when I have eaten something. I suppose it could be a mixture of things too - sometimes computer, sometimes weather... I shall have an experiment with gluten-free too (gads, but I hate the idea of being a difficult eater!), cos I guess the dairy/gluten thing quite often goes together... But yeah - basically, I guess I'll just keep working it out!

It was nice to write again, and to write Pros! I need to work out where it's going, and then perhaps I can write some more... *g*

Headaches like that are nasty - I'm glad it's over now and that you put your recovery time to good use. Still I hope you track down the cause of the headaches soon, so awful going through that! I used to get terrible headaches while I was smoking, and taking the pill, but gave both up at the same time and have only had maybe one or two bad headaches in the last fifteen years. In fact they're so rare now that I can remember roughly when I had the last one - winter 2011. I hope yours become as infrequent as that.

Oh, I hope I can work it out too. I must make an appointment with my GP, I keep saying I will and then I don't pick up the phone... well, I say pick up the phone, but what I mean is pick up the phone and my diary and take them outside to where I might get a signal, and then... *sighs* Bloody modern technology!

How interesting about the pill/smoking/headaches connection - and how fab that you've barely had a headache since. What bliss! *g* I must admit I've wondered if the Pill had anything to do with the thyroidism - seems a coincidence that they're both connected to hormones, and that there's a massive increase in women being diagnosed... though I guess men are diagnosed with it too, so it can't be the only thing! *g* Mind you, they do say they get in the water supply...!

Unless you buy all of your food from certified organic sources, then you're definitely getting hormones with your meals. Chickens are fed hormones to help them develop more rapidly; cattle also are supplemented with hormones (and, in some countries, with antibiotics - did you know that in Syria a huge percentage of the population is resistant / immune to antibiotics because of their constant exposure to them?) so that's your meat and dairy products affected. I don't know about lamb or pork but can't see why they'd be different.
Wow. Think of how symptom-free we'd be if we just avoided eating. *g*

I never think about extra hormones in meat products (or dairy products) but of course, you're right! I actually do only buy certified organic meat, though that was because of the antibiotics and factory-farming cruelty that I didn't want to pay into. And I'm only relatively recently eating meat again anyway, because apparently I was far too low in iron and various other things, but that was a different kind of symptom! (But hmmn, I had the headaches/faceaches even when it was organic dairy I used in milk/for breakfast etc., so that's presumably more towards the dairy-intolerance/allergy thing than the disruptive hormone thing at that stage anyway. Maybe the damage is done when we're young...

I have a feeling that many things would be better if we all avoided eating! No factory farming, no starvation, no kids too hungry to pay attention at school, fewer diet-related illnesses... yeah, maybe that air-diet thing has something going for it!
