I have to go out of order! I've missed 311-313, but you know I've taken the pics, and they're fab Germany pics, and I'll come back and post them, but I had lots of work to do today, and I woke up late, and I've only just caught up, and... yep, I'm home!
And oh my... caught my plane with no worries last night. The plane was full, but except for myself and maybe five other women, it was entirely businessmen! None of them could be bothered waiting for luggage, so they'd all brought the biggest cabin-luggage they could, which meant those of us with ordinary-sized bags etc. were pressed for space - luckily I did manage mine just above me. And talk about pushy! None of this 19th century chivalry (or what we in the 21st century just call good manners) for them - except with the sexy businesswoman in high heels and a trouser suit, who you could see them watching! - and who took full advantage. So I took huge pleasure in collecting my hold-luggage really quickly and striding past them all at passport control when we arrived, and straight through the non-EU passport channel (except that even then one of them snuck over from the EU passport line and pushed in front of me without even looking! He was the bloke who got up at the front of the plane immediately after we'd been told not to on arrival, too...)
The next thing was that it was chucking down with rain! Found the bus back to my carpark, but the driver didn't actually tell us when we left one carpark and entered the next, so I missed my stop and had to walk back (in said rain, of course) - and when I asked him which carpark we were in, the only thing the miserable bugger said was "well you didn't ring the bell"! Honestly, talk about a country living down to expectations - hey honey, you're home!
But hey-ho - and there was my car, and it started, and off I went! There was rain alllll the way down to Somerset, but just as I'd planned for a trip down the motorway, which my sat-nave usually defaults to, it took me down the A-roads instead, so I missed my chance to pick up some M&S food for today at a service station, but I did get to drive through absolute carpets of golden leaves on the road, which was a bit surreal but cool. *g*
And my annexe was still standing (though a very chilly 11C), and I faffed around putting things away for a while to wind down from for-gods-sake-stay-alert-and-don't-crash! and then I went to bed and crashed out at around 2.30am - and didn't wake up until 10.30am this morning. Eeep!
And then eventually I remembered what had been happening last night apart from me getting home, and I checked the papers, and... ohmigod... Just when I thought the world of politics couldn't get much more depressing, and that surely no country could be as stupid as the UK had been over Brexit... Here's hoping that all those Republicans who were also voted in can exert some measure of control over Trump...
Oh yeah - and winter arrived while I was away!

Though no snow down here - it looks so pretty up north!
