My eyes are soooo melted, and my peripheral vision has the range of a computer screen... eeeh, but I'm looking forward to these two weeks being over... next Sunday night! Well, sometime after next Sunday night...

In the meantime, I'm trying to keep awake by listening to music on We7 (though I hate headphones too!) while I work my way through the immense dull braindeadedness of my day job. But I actually haven't been listening to music for ages, so...

Does anyone have any recs for anything good? I know you don't know what I like (bit of an indie girl in general, but I like a thousand different things too... *g*) but I thought maybe I'd make a list (yeay lists!) and listen and see what it's like and see if I could find some new stuff... So I'm not even going to say what I've liked to start with... *g* So - help? What do you like? What's your favourite? What's the album everyone should hear once?

Also, I'm currently listening to Reverend and the Makers (very good and boppy), but they totally remind me of someone and I can't think who... is it just the Stone Roses/Madchester in general, or...?

Also, also - which Manchester band covered Sunshine Superman?, cos I really like that too, and I keep losing it! I keep thinking the Happy Mondays, but it wasn't... I don't think it was... but who was it?! - Got it! It's not a cover at all, it's Donovan and it was the Happy Mondays!

Also also also - yeay, still writing in Pros in between brain-deaded jobs! *g*

ETA - yeay, a rec!

1. Camera Obscura - My Maudlin Career - rather like this!

So I just re-watched Saturday's Doctor Who ep (and I love it just as much *g*) and I went googling to find out whose song played near the end, and I discovered this instead, which... good news? Scary news? I don't know, but...

New series of Torchwood secured by "international partnership"

...which just... I liked what BBC Cymru Wales was doing with it! I don't want it to suddenly be the commercial arm of the BBC and an American tv channel that can't spell Stars properly... The sentence that really made my heart drop? this new instalment will see storylines widen to include locations in the US and around the world... Just... gargh! Did they not watch The New Professionals? I'm crossing my fingers, I really am, but... eeep!

Anyway, I found the song too... (It's bound to be very uncool, since I still rather like it...) *g*

Would've.
