So I just re-watched Saturday's Doctor Who ep (and I love it just as much *g*) and I went googling to find out whose song played near the end, and I discovered this instead, which... good news? Scary news? I don't know, but...

New series of Torchwood secured by "international partnership"

...which just... I liked what BBC Cymru Wales was doing with it! I don't want it to suddenly be the commercial arm of the BBC and an American tv channel that can't spell Stars properly... The sentence that really made my heart drop? this new instalment will see storylines widen to include locations in the US and around the world... Just... gargh! Did they not watch The New Professionals? I'm crossing my fingers, I really am, but... eeep!

Anyway, I found the song too... (It's bound to be very uncool, since I still rather like it...) *g*

The first one is one I don't use nearly often enough, and do I do rather love it - it's Don DeMarco, from Ladder of Swords, playing the fiddle at dusk, and there are four of my favourite things, right there... I adore that time of day, when the stars are just coming out, and everything is magical - or perhaps because it could be magical, it's a time in between the world of day and the world of night, where everything might become possible... And Don DeMarco is my second-favourite MS character - I love that he's so real and unheroic, which is what makes him utterly a hero... And hee - I even made that icon myself... *g*

My lj looks bizarrely TW-ish for someone who's just reading it on the side - I really need to post more and bigger Pros here... I've been posting it to the comms, and now my poor lj is practically bare!

That said - having read fab halloween fic at discoveredinalj (Oh, This is Halloween by magenta_blue, and In the Widening Gyre by loyseofverlaine especially!) I've moved on to reading fab halloween fic via torchwood_house, and I found a new fic to rec!

Right and Wrong by tavven

Recced on torchwood_house last week - I couldn't decide whether to squee (cos I adore The Power of Love by Huey Lewis and the News, in a totally eighties nostalgia kind of way *g*) or wince, cos... Torchwood? To The Power of Love? But the vidder, tavven has done a brilliant thing, and I love her story and I love her timing and I adore the looks at 1.22, and I love the moment at 1.33, and the ending, and... actually the starting, and... and it's made me smile every time I've watched it cos it's so gorgeously Jack/Ianto too...

Is it an upside or a downside of my current job that I have spent practically two whole days at work reading TW fic? Here's another gorgeous 19,000 words of perfect Ianto and Gwen and Jack and - well, all of them really, I like the characterisation alot. And I find I've a penchant for the team together while Jack was away, and cos then there's generally Jack/Ianto reunion, but it's not just happy and fluffy cos TW isn't. Although in Club Wales Ianto and Gwen eat pizza together on the floor in Ianto's flat, and... just yeay.

I didn't want this fic to end, not least because now I have to find something else to doooooooo!

This is the long fic I found yesterday, that I was really hopeful about - and it's good! It is good! And it's long (though never, ever long enough...*g*) It's Jack/Ianto, and it's post-CoE, but it's also a glimpse of Jack's past, and... it's brill. *g*
