So to celebrate having lj back - and they were up an hour before they said they'd be as well, go them! - and the fact that there are only five more slots to fill for the [livejournal.com profile] discoveredinalj Discovered Whilst A-Carolling Challenge, and the fact that I've finally finished writing my first teaching job application for nearly 20 years (erk!) and it's all in an envelope with a stamp and everything ready to be sent off tomorrow...

... I thought I'd do some Pros-y scanning as well. *g*

So here's LC... and a little one of MS with him in the corner, and I'd love to know what they're doing/where they are cos lool - MS is wearing a black poloneck, and LC has got his skydiving jumper on! Does anyone have any other pics from that shoot?!

Someone clever than I with photoshop and the likes may be able to stitch our lad his ear back on... and someone clever who actually speaks German might be able to tell us if there's anything juicy in there... *g* It's from Bravo, and annoyingly enough I only have the loose pages, with no dates or anything... I'm sure lots of people have seen it too, but... it's never bad seeing the lads twice, is it? *g* Speaking of which...

... here's MS in A Streetcar Named Desire
which I know we've had before - definitely here at Metabollick's lj where she posted the programme, but I also knew as soon as I got to the fourth page scan of MS by those twisty stairs in that fab lighting that someone else had posted that pic as well - who was it? Was it our Londonronnie? Our AngelCI5? Someone else altogether? (If it was actually me then I'll cringe alot... *g*) Hope you don't mind seeing it again, in any case... These are from the May 1974 edition of Plays and Players:

I love what it says about our lad's acting: "Mr Shaw, unlike many English actors, is not afraid to let go and, at times, he can make the theatre quake." How fabulous is that? I really wish I'd seen him on stage back then... *sighs*

Right - and now that I'm up late enough to be shattered for uni tomorrow, I shall go and read myself to sleep with the last few pages of Kitty Fisher's Paper Flowers zine - another favourite!

He was in the Caribbean over Christmas? Oh I would like to see those holiday snaps! *vbg* And if they're talking about WDW then I guess that means the article was... 1981? 1982?

You're a star, Firlefanzine - thank you! I shall look forward to this evening! *g*

Sigh. It would be better – for you – if someone else would have done it…

***
“Who dares wins” the name of his new movie could be the motto of the cool Professional Lewis Collins.
Sunburnt – he got his tan in the Caribbean over Christmas – he started filming the 11th.of January in Pinewood-Studios London.
Lewis, his friend called him Lew, plays a hardcooked hardboiled secret agent who fears nothing. There will be a lot of hard action, secret missions and killing of enemies – just like he has done it as Bodie in the Professionals.
At the moment he is quite obsessed with his movie. Questions about more details he answered quite ironically with: “Sorry, top secret!”
What he can tell, is how hard his training for Pros had been, although he had been sporting before. He is pistol shooting champion, is perfect in biking (he has four motorcycles), is owner of the black belt in judo (comment of firlefanzine: I have the green belt! :-)), and is a paratrooper. No fun for the bad boys even in RL!
… (The reporter tells the same facts in other words – I leave it)
Lew did work hard for his success. About his youth he doesn’t like to talk. In his hometown Liverpool he worked as hair dresser trainee, teamster, shop assistant for clothes and waiter in a quayside bar.
He still has a close relationship to his father Bill Collins…
(some more details about his father).
Influenced by his father and Mike McGear, the brother of Paul McCartney, he had the idea to join(? OMG…) the showbiz.
Together with Mike, who was also a hair dresser trainee, he spent many evenings on testing the newest hair styles.

To be continued… ;-)

Oh you star - look what you've done! And I'm not at all convinced that it would have been better if someone else had done it - if nothing else, you're the only person lovely enough to have offered, so otherwise we'd have had nothing! Thank you, thank you! *vbg*

Love the "Top Secret!" answer he gave them! *g* And a black belt eh (and you a green belt - good for you! I've always fancied trying it, but... maybe when I'm a bit more settled!)

Looking forward to your being-continued now!

You're a star - thank you! *vbg*
