So to celebrate having lj back - and they were up an hour before they said they'd be as well, go them! - and the fact that there are only five more slots to fill for the discoveredinalj Discovered Whilst A-Carolling Challenge, and the fact that I've finally finished writing my first teaching job application for nearly 20 years (erk!) and it's all in an envelope with a stamp and everything ready to be sent off tomorrow...

... I thought I'd do some Pros-y scanning as well. *g*

So here's LC... and a little one of MS with him in the corner, and I'd love to know what they're doing/where they are cos lool - MS is wearing a black poloneck, and LC has got his skydiving jumper on! Does anyone have any other pics from that shoot?!


Someone clever than I with photoshop and the likes may be able to stitch our lad his ear back on... and someone clever who actually speaks German might be able to tell us if there's anything juicy in there... *g* It's from Bravo, and annoyingly enough I only have the loose pages, with no dates or anything... I'm sure lots of people have seen it too, but... it's never bad seeing the lads twice, is it? *g* Speaking of which...

which I know we've had before - definitely here at Metabollick's lj where she posted the programme, but I also knew as soon as I got to the fourth page scan of MS by those twisty stairs in that fab lighting that someone else had posted that pic as well - who was it? Was it our Londonronnie? Our AngelCI5? Someone else altogether? (If it was actually me then I'll cringe alot... *g*) Hope you don't mind seeing it again, in any case... These are from the May 1974 edition of Plays and Players:



I love what it says about our lad's acting: "Mr Shaw, unlike many English actors, is not afraid to let go and, at times, he can make the theatre quake." How fabulous is that? I really wish I'd seen him on stage back then... *sighs*

Right - and now that I'm up late enough to be shattered for uni tomorrow, I shall go and read myself to sleep with the last few pages of Kitty Fisher's Paper Flowers zine - another favourite!

*sneaks in at Uni lunchtime and curses course tutor who didn't tell us we were gonna have 2-3 hours "free" this afternoon while everyone has "individual tutorials"...* I could have brought job apps to do! Books to read for course! Fic to write for challenges!

Yeay, it was you! I remember now - yes, that gorgeous icon with the movement! *g* It really is fairly stunning, that pic... *g*

Also - Gibraltar?! Whatever were they doing in Gibraltar? When? Why? Oh, tell me they were on holiday together... *g*

Hee! Weell, almost *g*... AFAIK they were guests of the Navy, and just doing stuff with them (like sailing) for a magazine (TVT I think)... and I know I had some notes on this, cos I bought some pics and the collector told me what he knew about them, and I wrote it all down (yes, I am that sad!) and I deliberately kept it all with the pics cos I was fascinated..., but I can't find them now! *headdesk* Unfortunately I don't have all my stuff to hand... from memory it was 1979 (I think).
Londonronnie may know more, and I can scan the TVT article which features it if you haven't seen it already, I'm sure you'll recognise the pics.

I'm so glad you're that sad - I totally would have been too! Besides, that's not sad, that's archival work! *g*

I'd love to see the TVT article, if it's not too much trouble! I'm not sure I know the pics at all if they're wearing the same clothes as above - as I keep lamenting though, I'm one of these people who can never afford to catch scrapbooks and articles at current prices on ebay etc, there's always someone wealthier who wants them badly, so unless they've been shared online in the last couple of years I've not seen half this stuff!

I don't think any of them are from that set with those clothes actually... sure I can scan the mag article, though londonronnie might be able to do it quicker, I won't have a chance before the w/e at the soonest, and you may have to give me a kick to remind me! *g*

I've got a few pics and magazine clippings of the lads' trip there, but I'm still trying to piece together exactly what they were up to, so any little snippets would be much appreciated! *g*
