So to celebrate having lj back - and they were up an hour before they said they'd be as well, go them! - and the fact that there are only five more slots to fill for the [livejournal.com profile] discoveredinalj Discovered Whilst A-Carolling Challenge, and the fact that I've finally finished writing my first teaching job application for nearly 20 years (erk!) and it's all in an envelope with a stamp and everything ready to be sent off tomorrow...

... I thought I'd do some Pros-y scanning as well. *g*

So here's LC )

And here's MS )
byslantedlight: (MS Apparitions)
Squeeeeeee! *g*

It wasn't at all Bonekicker-y... *g* Okay, I knew it wouldn't be really, but... well sometimes you just worry a bit... *g*

I'm sorry I don't have torrents or recordings or anything like that - I have the sort of tv where I balance an aerial on top at the precise precarious angle required to get a picture at all. All I have is happy - and slightly spooked - bounce...

Hopefully no spoilers but squee... )

Oh, I can't think what else to say - talk to me about it?! *vbg*

It's nearly time, it's nearly time!

Now we're nearly there I'm all nervous. What if it's another Bonekickers?! It can't be another Bonekickers, right?

Apparitioooooooooooooooooooons! *g*

*stares at watch and tv at the same time...*

Ohmigodses! Why did nobody tell me? You've let me leave Rhodes sitting on my shelf all this time without a single mention, anywhere on my flist, of Rhodes/Pickering! Rhodes/Pickering!

Rhodes/Pickering (but beware of major spoilers - and if you have it and haven't watched it - go watch now!)(With added pics!) )

Letter from Windsor waiting for me when I got home today - not, you'll be surprised to hear, an invitation to take tea, but a flyer about the next production of Murder on Air by the Agatha Christie Theatre Company, and special guests (Susan Penhaligon, Hugh Fraser, Nicky Henson and Christopher Timothy, if you're interested!). Awww thinks I, MS isn't coming back to do it again then, and I flip over the page to see what's on the back.

And there he is, surrounded by sparkly bits and Jenny Seagrove, doing his thing. So I thought I'd share. *g*

Innit pretty? *sighs in fond remembrance and also cos... well... *g* Older lads and all, you know?*

Posted to [livejournal.com profile] the_safehouse really - over here so I shall disable comments here, if that's okay - but do come say hi there! Sorry about the spam, but when I thought abotu deleting it here I thought - oh, but wouldn't it be nice to see when you flick through here too? So just this once the spam is staying... *g*

A Sunday November night in England - this time last year I was up to me eyeballs in snow and isotopes, this year it's a great wind and a couple of lashings of rain, The Cranford Chronicles on tv, and looking forward to getting back on the trail of the Great Condom Counterfeitererers tomorrow.

Yeay.

And best of all? Prosfic to read in bed, listening to the rain...

Oh, and I did enjoy Cranford too - even if our MS wasn't in it. And look at me - I'm all up with the latest tv and everything! (Had to cadge me way into my housemate's room to do it, but it was so worth it).

So - anyone had snow? They tell me people are gonna have snow! *eyes raindrops on window* Probably not me...

So for Part 2 of my project: Martin Shaw as Robert O'Hara Burke (hee - the other connection between MS and Burke just hit me then!), the Australian explorer who crossed the continent from south to North, and came so close to making it back again...

I think, from what I can gather, that this was made by the BBC as one of The Explorers series around 1972, but was re-released in America, with Anthony Quinn introducing it (which is the version I've got) in 1975/6? Does anyone have any better information than that? Does anyone have any other information than that?!

There seems to be very little about this one - or else my ability to google has failed me. On the bright side, there are screencaps under the cut!

I tend not to read Dave Matthews site regularly, more browse through when I'm looking for specifics, but today I discovered something interesting in his updated Bullet-In. Thought I'd copy it here in case anyone else missed it at the new year. Also there's a slightly blurry but nice pic of MS in AMFAS : )
